Sorauren Farmers' Market is one of my absolute favorite spots in Toronto, especially in the summer! It’s the perfect place to take the kids every Monday. There’s so much to see and do—fresh, local produce from a variety of farmers, a wide selection of delicious foods, and a great selection of artisanal products. Prices can vary depending on the season, but the quality of everything is always top-notch.
What really makes this market special is the community vibe. There’s always something happening—live music fills the air, creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great way to spend a few hours outdoors, picking up fresh ingredients while enjoying the music and chatting with locals.
Even when the colder months roll in, Sorauren Farmers' Market doesn’t close. It moves indoors, but remains just as wonderful, albeit on a smaller scale. It's a great way to stay connected with the community year-round, and I love that it continues to offer that welcoming, local feeling even when the weather isn’t as ideal.
This market is a perfect spot for anyone looking to meet new people, support local farmers and businesses, or just enjoy a laid-back day with the family. Without a doubt, I’ll be back! Highly...

Spend five minutes at this stall, where the lovely person selling flowers asks after the health of your mother and get a mini bouquet for your sweetheart while you chat.
Another ten minutes at this one where they tell you they've had a drought this year (though they've still somehow put together a delightful display of produce... small blessings) and then they ask where you've been and why it's your first visit.
Take your time, it's a one way flow only (which is good. We can't all be running in to each other) and these chats are a necessary part of the experience. It has been a lonely summer after all.
And the more questions you ask, the more knowledge you'll gain; about what to buy and how much, what's good in in which seasons, how to cook it to extract maximum flavour.
Food is love after all, and this market has the best food...
Read more$21 for a 7" x7" shallow plate for the smallest portion of vegan chickpea and potatoe on quinoa. Flavour was good. This is a farmers market, we could have sat in with service almost anywhere on Roncy for the same price. The store fronts pay high rent and it's understandable. We had come here just to support local market on a Monday afternoon. It's kind of a cash grab. I would expect it on a weenend on lakeshore, but I don't understand, I know patrons know better.
A local lady behind me asked and politely walked away when she saw my plate and what it cost. I asked for more and got the tip of the spoon more. The guys hand shook like it took effort.
I don't think I need a "we are sorry you had this experience". It just didn't make sense for us. This was not boutique gourmet, or a special 'Vegan' branded place you expect to pay for the word vegan. I was appalled. I feel better now....
