I’m a new customer...so far so good. Had pleasant experiences with tellers and other staff. They could make improvements on online banking and their USD to CAD rate isn’t that great.
Edit: Changing from 4 to 2 stars, due to the real unpleasant experience with the branch manager today, Sunday-Mar 3rd, 2019. I was in the branch to change security pin of my new credit card. I spent an hr in the branch today for such a small task, which already should have been an automated process and I personally never had to do a pin change at the branch before this. Teller says she needs to check 2 government issued IDs (which again is the first time I ever heard of to getting your credit card activated). Anyhow I had one physical id with me and another as a photocopy on my phone. She couldn’t consider that and checked with the manager as well, who agrees with her and sends me off. I make a call to credit card support and explain them the situation. They tell me to have the TD branch rep call from their phone and they could help her out with the verification process. I go back to the teller and she guides me to the same manager again. I explain the whole situation again and now when I ask her to call the support, she says it’s not worth her time, and removes that security hold herself and activated the card and lets me change the pin.
Note to the manager: If you do take your customers account security seriously, then you can’t consider making a phone call to follow the proper procedure a waste of time. And if it wasn’t really a requirement to check 2 pieces of id, then you could have helped me out the...

When I first went in for the loan application I was told I would have the loan approved and see the money in my account by the end of the week, this was in August 2019 and it is now end of January 2020. Even a manager and a Financial Advisor, James Castro, had taken over my loan application to see that I wouldn't be mistreated again. They are completely failing to follow through at keeping me updated, they are unclear, inefficient and lack professionalism entirely. This is absolutely despicable when it impacts a persons livelihood. Read moreVery disappointed. Came in first thing in the morning, no smiles... it's like I'm burdening them with work. I asked for help from Manager, again no smile... looked upset that I'd take her precious time... and even when I understood the situation and said thank you... no kindness offered by anyone.
TD is happy to take millions of my dollars... but god forbid they go above and beyond for their clients first thing on the Monday morning.
TD you have plenty of $$ to train you workers and managers in human decency... kindness, care, going above and beyond. It seems your people only show it when there is lots and lots of money involved.
