Wingstop on Runnymede has gone straight down the toilet. When it first opened, it was my go-to spot—the food was always fresh, bursting with flavor, and actually had some taste. But now? What a joke. All the old workers are gone, replaced by a bunch of amateurs who clearly have no idea how to cook.
The mango habanero used to be a fiery delight, packed with taste and heat. Now, it’s a bland, sad excuse for a sauce that tastes like absolutely nothing. The voodoo fries? Don't even get me started. They used to be loaded with cheese and ranch, juicy and delicious. Now, they barely put any ranch or cheese on them, and the fries are hard, brown, and look/taste like LITERAL CARDBOARD.
Back then, it took 20 minutes to get your food because it was made fresh. Now, you get your food in under five minutes because it's not fresh at all. It’s like they’re just reheating garbage and throwing it in a bag. And the restaurant itself? Filthy. Every table is dirty and sticky, and there’s trash everywhere.
Oh, and they don’t have knives anymore, so good luck eating tenders unless you want to eat it with your hands. I felt like a caveman trying to rip apart my tenders with two forks. And to top it all off, I'm literally constipated now after eating at Wingstop. I've never had this problem before, but this place managed to ruin my digestive system too.
The ranch? It used to be thick and delicious. Now, it’s watery and tastes horrible. It’s clear that the food isn’t fresh anymore and the workers are just lazy, throwing together whatever in under five minutes. I miss the old workers and the quality they brought.
When this establishment first opened, it was clear they put in a lot of effort to make the food taste great and build a strong customer base. However, now that a few months have passed and they've gained popularity, it seems like they've become complacent and no longer put in the same effort. This place sucks now, and I’m never...
Read moreThis bussiness is a total mess. I first got excited for having a wings place on Bloor west but got totally disappointed after I placed my first order. They forgot to give me the second bag of my order so when I got home I realized my order is not complete. I asked them to send it to me because I had guests at my house and we wanted to eat but they refused. I had to drive 20 min to grab the second bag and 20 min to get back home. By the time I got home and started eating we had to warm up the wings in the microwave and some in the oven. The result was awful and the meat got ruined. As for the taste it was mediocre and still Duffs offers better tastes. Fries didn’t offer much but we loved the spicy corns. After submitting my review internally as they asked for, a manager from the resturant emailed me to apologize for the bad experience and asked if I am willing to accept a credit to order one more time and try their food. I accepted the offer but ironically the manager never got back to me with the credit code. I emailed them back again following up on their offer but never heard back. I was ready to give them another shot considering it’s the closest Wings place in our neighborhood but all this shows how unprofessional the whole business is.
Update: the manager emailed me back with a promotion code to order food online. I did order last night and I must say the taste was much better than the first time. Still very crowded and although I ordered 5 hours in advance, I had to wait for 15 minutes to pick up but that’s understandable considering it’s a new place and people want to try new things in the neighborhood and staff are learning to adapt. So I changed my rating on this review based on my second try. Good luck and hope you...
Read moreI am not one to make negative reviews, but I had to for this one. I hope that corporate takes this feedback and works on improving the franchise chain because it’s not looking good out here.
I want to preface that I came all the way from Hamilton to check this place out because of its hype in the US. The restaurant closes at 1am and I ordered take-out an hour ahead online. I ordered a 6-piece classic wings combo, 3 tenders combo, and an add-on of 5 boneless wings. Altogether, the total rang up to about $41 not including tax, and I gave a $6 tip for their service because it was late hours so why not.
I wish I hadn’t tipped.
When I got to the restaurant to pick up my food by the designated time, the person at the counter said it would take 5 minutes. I proceeded to wait another 10-15 minutes, but my name wasn’t being called and other people who ordered after me were getting their orders. When I went to the counter to remind them I was still waiting for my order, they realized that it had been ready but was just sitting there because they forgot about it.
When I got home and checked my food, I noticed that I did not get the 5 boneless wings I paid for. They only gave me 3. That add-on was $10 by the way.
Food-wise, the wings and tenders were cooked well. I do recommend the garlic parm dressing on the wings. I ordered the lemon pepper, honey garlic, and hickory BBQ sauces but the honey garlic flavour was the only one that wasn’t salty. Everything else made my blood pressure rise. Also, Wingstop is known for its ranch sauce but this location’s ranch dip was too watery. The blue cheese dip was better.
No hard feelings, I just hope this review helps you guys improve your service and quality in...
