I took my 200 HR yoga teacher training here, and I can’t recommend it enough. I am deeply grateful for the team at YogaSpace for finding ways to hold space and welcome anyone who wants to explore what it means to become rooted, all while honouring unique expressions weaved throughout their curriculum. I graduated the program with a new surge of confidence. Kathryn Beet (the Director) is one of the most nurturing and generous people I have ever met. It is so refreshing to have someone who has over 35+ years of experience of teaching to be your biggest cheerleader and root for you— that’s what you can expect if you take this program (especially if you are more of a shy person like myself). For me personally, it was important to know that I can teach all walks of life with integrity, not the stereotypical demographic you see on Instagram. I found that the ethos at YogaSpace really aligned with my own. I was taught to include many modifications for each posture, and to tailor my sequences in a way that welcomes anyone who drops into my class. Many studios seem to have a performative element, but not here. I would encourage anyone who is looking to deepen their practice to try the 200HR YTT program. You will walk away feeling fully engaged —mentally, physically and spiritually 💫 Even if you aren’t taking a RYT program, I would encourage you to try a drop in class on the schedule, as there are many talented instructors (I love taking Fiona Walkers class and Jessica Ulthorne’s class). It will also give you an opportunity to check out the beautiful space, it’s like a dream to practice in the studio, and did I mention the deck? It is truly one of a kind ❤️

I completed the fall 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at YogaSpace 2024-2025, and I’m so grateful I chose this studio. With 29 years of experience, their depth and professionalism truly shine through. You can feel it in the energy, structure, and passion behind every moment of the training. The program is incredibly well-rounded — the knowledge shared comes from lifetimes of study, personal practice, and global teaching experience. It's more than just learning how to teach yoga, it’s a journey into philosophy, self-awareness, and authentic embodiment. Kathryn brings so much wisdom, light, and laughter. Her tips for new teachers are gold, and her sense of humor fills the room — she makes learning truly joyful. Hali is so knowledgable — her way of delivering yoga philosophy is clear, grounded, and inspiring. She gives you exactly what you need to begin your teaching journey with confidence and purpose. The included workshops were such a valuable part of the training — offering practical tools and fresh perspectives that enriched the entire experience. If you’re thinking of becoming a yoga teacher, or just deepening your practice, YogaSpace is the place. This studio honors tradition while nurturing new teachers with care, depth, and heart. I can’t recommend it enough!

I spent my whole life trying to find the community I have found at Yogaspace. Since my very first class I knew this was going to be a forever love. Definitely love at first sight exists. I took my 200hr YTT here and I cannot be more happy I have choosen this studio to become my school and the sacred, warm place where I have learned so much (and keep learning every day). It has been such a transformative experience, in and out. I cannot recommend Yogaspace more yet. The warmth of home every time I enter the studio. I'll forever be grateful for this space. If you are wondering where to take your yoga practice and/or teacher training, this is the right place

I first found Yogaspace while seeking out a good studio in the city to complete a Yoga Teacher Training program with. All it took was one drop-in class back in January, for me to make the decision to go with them as my school of choice. Covid-19 added a bit of a hiccup for us, but Kathryn and her team were quick to improvise and it was clear from the beginning that they were dedicated to giving us the YTT experience we signed up for. After a couple months of online weekend classes and a 3 week in-person intensive, I have happily graduated the 200 hour YTT as of August 2020. The changes Yogaspace has made to their yoga school to accommodate students during the pandemic was truly impressive. Module 1 of their program is hosted online via Zoom classes to build a strong foundation on yoga philosophy with Hali and the anatomy course taught by Ellie. I am honestly blown away at the depth of knowledge these two had to teach us and how well it was put together for the online portion.

After the city moved into stage 3 when yoga studios were given the o.k. to introduce students back into their buildings, Yogaspace made the decision to open it’s back studio room to a group of us who were comfortable with returning to the studio to finish our in-person asana portion of Module 2 with Kathryn, Jessica, and Hali. They had a professional come in to mark the floor with social distanced mat placement guides and Kathryn has taken the extra precaution of adding an air purification device to the studio room which not only filters out toxins but also helps to sanitize the room. The studio was so clean I never once felt anxious or worried about my decision to return to an in-person class setting.

We all had our temperature checked with a contact-free thermometer upon entering the studio, daily and we had a discussion on the first day about each of our individual comfort and trust in each other to navigate this group activity and remain safe in our own bubbles. It was an incredible experience! I would recommend both of the modules of this 200 hr YTT program to anyone who has an interest in deepening their own practice or in becoming a teacher or both! I cannot wait to share my practice with others and am so grateful for the time my classmates and I had together to go through this...

I decided to complete the YogaSpace 200Hr yoga teacher training last minute, and it was the best decision I have ever made. I cannot recommend the YYT program, the studio and all the classes YogaSpace offers enough. Kathryn Beet and the team of teachers at Yogaspace are phenomenal.

The YYT program was a truly spectacular experience. The program was filled with the most knowledgeable, humble and loving teachers I have ever interacted with. Kathryn, Jessica, Hali, and the rest of the wonderful teachers guide you throughout the program from start to finish. The energy these teachers bring is direct from such a knowledgeable and caring place - everyone is extremely invested in you and your success. Kathryn is one of the most supportive, generous, knowledgeable and caring leaders. She does an incredible job balancing challenging you and encouraging you, leading to amazing growth.

Instruction throughout the course is clear, direct, and engaging. From the online philosophy component to the in-person practical module, the program is a fantastic opportunity to become a practicing yoga teacher or simply deepen your individual practice and knowledge. The lessons I have learned throughout the program will continue to serve me and my practice for the rest of my life.

I left the YYT program feeling like a welcomed member of the community, built lasting connections with my classmates and even began to teach yoga in the city within a few weeks of graduating.

YogaSpace is an environment I found to be incredibly welcoming, inclusive and kind. A space free of judgment and limitations, but rather a supportive place to explore your practice, challenge yourself, learn...
