TL;DR : Great food and great service. Located in Little Italy on college west of Bathurst sits Imm Thai Kitchen, a relatively new Thai restaurant. I went here with a group of 6 others on a Friday night and needed to make a reservation to get a spot. That turned out to be a good idea not just because it isn't a large restaurant (can maybe sit between 30-40?) But the food and service was amazing. The decor was pretty simple and modern with pretty decent lighting and had a good atmosphere. I had the Tom yum soup, khao soi, a Thai iced tea and mango sticky rice The Tom yum soup was full of flavour and spice (beware of you have a low spice tolerance) with chunks of some vegetables and whole shrimps in it. The serving size was enough for one person, but I preferred to split it since the main course was filling. The Khao Soi (a golden curry w/egg noodles and crispy noodles) was delicious and pretty filling. The curry was a little thicker than other places but that made it really good as it coated the noodles really well. When you order it be careful if you want it spicy because it's hot! But not in a bad way. the Thai iced tea was a great pairing with the curry and helped cool my mouth as well. It was just the right amount of sweet and milky without being overpowering. The mango sticky rice provided a sweet note to end the meal. The coconut that was used wasn't overpowering to the taste of the desert and the mango was fresh, sweet and delicious. Presentation of all the food was great as well and added to the rest of the experience. The service at Imm was amazing and really helped make this review into 5 stars. This is definitely one of the better experiences I've had at a restaurant. Our server was very friendly and helpful when we needed to ask about a dish on the menu and gave great recommendations for dishes. She was attentive to everything and really made us feel welcome in the restaurant. We also got a chance to meet the owner of the restaurant who was also very friendly and really seemed to appreciate us coming to visit the establishment. She told us a little bit about the history of the restaurant and told us about the ingredients in the dishes and that they're imported from Thailand. She also made it clear that they don't take shortcuts when making their dishes. Main dishes were generally between $15-20 with appetizers were between $6-13 Our experience at Imm was awesome, with great food complimented by amazing service. It's definitely a restaurant I will be coming back to in the future.

WHAT TO TRY?!! Alot of their Thai dishes are not commonly found in other Thai restaurants so this restaurant might be a good restaurant to check out some authentic Thai Street Food! Such dishes I tried included Laap Tod and Mun Tod would be examples of Thai street food you don't find alot in other restaurants. I then tried the signature Tom Yum Pad Thai with Lobster and Pad See Ew with Beef which are also highly recommended dishes!! For dessert I recommend the mango sticky rice (warning: it's very pretty) and the Thai ice tea ice cream because it's always nice to finish on a sweet note! :) I didn't try the Mun Tod, but the Laap Tod was a good appetizer to have! It's essentially pork balls made out of minced pork and deep fried. I didn't think it was too oily at all, in fact it didn't take long before we finished the whole dish. I like this dish alot because of the fragrances they put in the meatballs too. Not your typical meatball! The Tom Yum Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are must orders at this restaurant too. To have Pad Thai served with lobster? Not a lot of restaurants offer this option!! And they have copious amounts of egg noodle inside this dish too! Very tasty. I LOVE the Pad See Ew here. By far, my favourite restaurant to get this dish. Noodles are al dente and very flavourful. It was the dish I helped finish eating by the end of the night because it was that good. It's not the flavour it has, but you can tell they wok fried the Pad See Ew to add that flare and fire an Asian dish needs. Mango sticky rice is a must order because they plate it really nicely. Mango slices are placed in a way that looks like a rose on top of sticky rice and drizzled with sweet milk. Look at the pics to see more! Thai Ice Tea ice cream...no questions asked, you have to order it right? lol. It's Thai Ice Tea...but in in cream form!! what more is there to think about?? It's a big scoop too so don't worry you won't get enough of it! LAST TIP?! You might want to make reservations at this restaurant because it's a small restaurant and might get very busy on the weekends! At the very least, order the Laap Tod though - not a dish you would find commonly in Thai restaurants elsewhere in the city.

I went there for the half price wine Thursday, and left with a wealth of Thai cuisine experience. To be honest, I am not well versed in Thai food, so I left it to my friends to do the order. And I took notes so I could share with you readers and hopefully make you salivate: Laap Tod - meatballs appetizer. But they are not just any meatballs. When I took a bite, I could taste a myriad of mystical spices hidden in those balls, and they were addictive. Papaya Salad - my friends seemed excited about this salad. Me, if you have read my previous review, you will know how I feel about salads. Yet, this papaya salad was refreshing and fun to eat. Not just your typical tasteless leafy greens ha. Lobster Khao Soi - if I was mellow during the night, this dish perked me up. Omg... it's been a while since I had good, tasty curry. And this yellow curry is the clear winner in my book of all curry dishes I have tasted in a while. Nevermind the lobster in the dish lol though it was also good, but this yellow curry that coated the noodles.......!!! Pad See Ew - thick noodles with beef and leafy veggies. It reminded me of chinese hor fan. And I like hor fan. Pad Ka Pao - this is a minced pork dish. Our friend told us that this was the street food that she ate a lot while growing up. So it was cool to have a taste of her childhood, and to say that even as a child, my friend already had impeccable taste growing up lol. Lobster Tom Yum Pad Thai - good dish. Not spicy but tasty. I like the Tom yum twist in the pad thai taste. And of course, thai iced tea. What's not to love! Lol Naturally, they also had thai tea ice cream. We also ordered coconut ice cream. Both were very sweet, which is great if you love sweet stuff. Their mango sticky rice was popular with my friends, but I think it would taste really good when the mango is in season and sweeter. The service is on point. The server is very knowledgeable about the menu, and was good with her opinions and recommendations. The ambience is casual elegance, good for date nights and chilling out with friends. Good times!

If you want Authentic Thai food, look no further than Imm Thai Kitchen. I went with a group of 4 on a Thursday evening, we were seated right away and were brought the menu. The restaurant is very clean and spacious and I really loved the natural wood bar table top.

We started off with delicious Thai Iced tea that wasn't overly sweet and had that strong Thai tea flavour that some other places lack.

Growing up with Thai food was always amazing, so when I get the taste of my childhood I knew this place would be great!

They even do a cool twist of one of my favourite dishes "Laap" which is minced meat salad that you eat with herbs like mint, cucumbers and lettuce. Their version is the same great flavours but deep fried to perfection in the form of a meatball, which I found very unique and cool! I love the hint of spice and the hit of lemongrass flavour that comes with every bite.

Of course you gotta have the famous Papaya salad and this place presents it beautifully in a mortar and pestle. This salad is perfectly seasoned with the right kind of heat and was one of my favourites with the crunchy green papaya, pieces of Thai string bean, and juicy pieces of tomatoes.

As for the mains we got the Lobster Khao Soi - egg noodle in homemade Golden curry with crispy noddles. This dish was rich, creamy and very flavourful. Great textures between the noddles in the sauce and the crispy noodles that you break into the sauce. A big hit at the table, which shows since it was the first dish to be devoured.

Pad See Ew - Stir fried fresh rice noodles with Thai sweet soy sauce and chinese broccoli. I love the wide noodles in this dish also a table favourite.

Lobster Tom Yum Pad Thai - signature Tom Yum flavour pad Thai with fresh Thai herbs. I really enjoyed the salty, sour and sweet flavour of these noodles. The texture of the noodles were perfect and wasn't drenched in sauce which I appreciate. I dislike soggy, soft noodles.

Pad Ka Pao - stir fried Thai holy basil with minced pork (or chicken), with a sunny side up egg. This dish has quite a kick but so darn delicious especially with that spicy chili sauce that accompanies it. If you can handle the heat drizzle some over your meat and you're good.

For dessert we got

Thai mango sticky rice, Thai Iced tea ice cream and coconut ice cream. The mango sticky rice was beautifully presented and mangoes were delicious and ripe with a tasty drizzle of a sweet coconut sauce on top of a bed of sticky coconut rice. The coconut ice cream tasted freshly made using real coconut and garnished with pumpkin pieces on top. I appreciate that they don't cut corners and use artificial flavourings for their ice creams because I love the taste of the real thing. The Thai Iced tea was stronger in taste which I enjoyed more but the coconut ice cream was still delicious.

I will definitely be coming back here again or ordering delivery from UberEats. I also really appreciate the time and effort it takes the kitchen staff to prepare the presentation of the carrots in the dishes as I can tell they use a lot of skill and time to make it look better and more appealing. The first time I actually had Imm Thai was actually delivery and everything tasted delicious but nothing beats eating it at the restaurant served straight out of the kitchen! I loved this place, it's my new go to Thai Restaurant...

Honestly I don’t really know where to begin but it was CATASTROPHIC! Greeting: The lady greets you at the door might be the only nice thing about this place. She nice kind and helpful.

She asked us if it’s our first time and left the menus for us to review. After sometime a group of people came in and sat very close to us. The waitress came (with the attitude) asked us if we could choose to eat or no. I asked her to change our place but the face expression of her wasn’t really willing to help for anything. The hostess came and helped us for that. After some time we decided what to order as : 2 soups, 1 portion of shrimp rolls 2 main dishes.

Service: 5 minutes later we received the soups and rolls, waiter brought the main dishes. We were surprised bcoz normally if a restaurant is professional (as written on comments) they should’ve followed our table whether we are done with the starters or not. When I told him that we are not done with starters he was shocked and left with the foods to the kitchen. In 10 mins we were done with starters but that time they didn’t bring the main dishes. (As you see, the servers are not educated and/or experienced people) The waiter (or commis) brought my husband’s dish first (which is quite rude! If a lady sits on the table you should bring her’s first) and after mine. I ordered curry and it comes as the same way the soup does. It was SPOILED everywhere. The commis didn’t intent to clean the pot I had to ask for it. When he cleaned it, the sauce spread on my dress (imagine…)

We also ordered aperol spritz with “the meal” but it came only 10 mins later which was poor quality. Almost non-alcoholic, only single drop of aperol and full of ice lol. THEY DIDNT EVEN ASK IF WE WANT ICE OR NOT.

Everything was already extremely bad there’s no way to make this up to me, I decided to keep silent.

My husband started to have nausea bcoz of the smell of the entire thing mixed all together. So we decided to leave. It is a very small place packed with a lot of table. My husband asked to the waitress to get take out the dinners and she only nodded her head. Not long after, she came back with take out cups and left it to the table (and for some reason she gave an attitude with that look)

My question is, if I were a customer who almost ate the entire dinner but only few pieces left, yes fine you can do this. But I didn’t even TOUCH the meal. What do you want me to do??? Pour the entire meal to the ground? What level of unprofessional is she?? I decided to ask her to help with this and her answer was : “normally we never do this but…” I couldn’t hold myself anymore and said “yeah, normally my meal should’ve come here all clean and not spoiled everywhere but it did” thanks to God she stop questioning and left.

FIRST AND LAST TIME!

Taste of the food is really good but the servers don’t know how to read people, how to serve.

If you wanna be treated as if you are being fed for free by these guys yeah, go there. Otherwise you’ll pity the money you pay for the dishes you won’t be able to eat.

I hope my review saves you, I wish there were a review like mine so I would never go there.

Ps. After all this issues they caused she asked...
