I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't a strict campground setting. No campfires pretty much when the sun goes down. No mingling or meeting with barely anyone. Camping used to be fun and the atmosphere would be full of happiness and people meeting people and visit other campsites. Now... it's becoming a desolete ghost town like eerie feeling especially at night time. BUT... the wildlife!! Hands down I give it 5 stars!! They come and visit our campsite more than people do!! We have raccoons that "hope" we have left over food they can get into!! The odd time we do forget to empty our garbage can or forget our bags of candy on our picnic table!! Come on what wildlife is going to want to eat candy??? THEY DO THOSE LITTLE CRITTERS!! THEY WENT SO FAR AS RIPPING A HUGE ZIPLOC BAG OF PEANUT M&M'S TORE IT OPEN WITH THEIR CLAWS.... TOOK OUT ONE BY ONE... ALL YOU COULD HEAR WAS THEIR CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH!! LOL!! Then go atter again rustle the noisy bag up to reach in for another one!! Who woulda thought?? They love chocolate covered peanuts!!!
Then another night my box of Swedish Raspberries... they ate those too!! LOL!!!
Baby Rabbits all over...

Read moreToday we came here around 3 PM on a Sunday. Very sunny day so we decided to go to Fort Langley to this island park. Not a lot of parking available but we were able to find once we came here. Lots of people jogging, couples, and families. It has a nice mix of sandy beaches great for kids playing in the water, lots of nice concrete table for barbecue. Average view with a passerby train every 15 minutes in a distance. There is a washroom by the parking lot with the recycling and garbage can nearby. Trails was spacious, flat with lots of room to see the beautiful sky. Great park to come by especially Right next to the historic Fort Langley city with cool shops and pubs. Will definitely come back again for nice picnic...
