First time trying the SNS treatment! I love it. SNS stands for Signature Nail Systems and it strengthens your real nails and allows them to grow longer which is exactly what I needed! I've been growing out my real nails with gel and powder acrylic refills for about 2 years. I kept removing them and so that's why it took so long for my nails to grow. But now they're the perfect length but weak as hell. My friend recommended the SNS treatment and what a game changer.
My nail technician was amazing!
They first had to remove my powder and that took a while since the layers were thick. It took maybe 4 dips in nail polish remover to peel it all off. Then as my nail technician was filing them, one nail broke! It's not bad but you can definitely tell it's too short. I opted to leave it as is because it'll grow back. I didn't want to add a fake tip.
SNS is powder but it's much finer than the acrylic powder. It feels like flour. They dip your fingers in the powder and flick your finger to get rid of the excess. Imagine my face when they dipped my fingers in the powder! It's like magic. I know I've referred to the acrylic powder as nail cocaine in my other reviews as a joke before but SNS is actually nail cocaine. Even the colour is a powder they dip your fingers into! They then apply a top coat. They dip your fingers maybe 2 times in the SNS powder and then 3 times for the colour powder depending on how smoothly it sticks. The nail polish coat is applied after every dip.
You then get everything smoothed out with their drill machine. The end feeling is so great. It feels light and airy but your nails are strong! It's also not thick like the gel or acrylic powder.
It cost me $50 with taxes and tip first time around because they had to remove my acrylic but next time it should be $35.
The only con is that the SNS colours aren't as nice as the regular nail polish colours. But I can overlook that since it'll make my real nails...
Read moreAfter barely 3 weeks one nail fall out (gel) Design, color and length were ok for the manicure although pedicure already chipped (regular polish). I paid 105$ and tipped the poor esthetician 20$ since he had to stayed til 9.30pm to finish after a delay due to a WRONG APPLICATION for lash lifting. My usual place is 110$ for both gel mani-pedi and last a month! I was curious to try this salon since they offer several services in one place. Lash lifting was a real DESASTRE lashes never got curved nor lift apparently cuz of the thickness (my usual technician says they're thin and always get beautiful results!). Eyebrows were just cleaned but usually I always have a nice pointy finish shape. After 45 min waiting for product to work my lashes were flat. After saying NO, the lady insists and apply more product again and left another 20-30 min still DIDN'T WORK - result my eyes were itchy, burning. Fortunately, they assume their mistake, apologize and didn't charge eyebrows/lashes - awful experience. Usually it'll be 1* but they seem genuinely sincere and sorry about it that's why is 2**. Please explain to the staff to be SENSITIVE and AWARE to not rudely tell a customer their skin/face is bad and need treatment asap. Unfortunately, I would NOT recommended this place not experts in my opinion. Be sure to verify how experienced technicians are, what products they used and application steps,...
Read moreI have been going to Ongles Expert for over 5 years now for pedicure and SNS manicure. The SNS expert is Thao. She has been doing my nails since a very long time and I only trust her with my nails. She is precise and quick and understand what you are looking for. She often helps me pick my colors as well and I regularly get complimented from my friends and colleagues on how nice my nails look. I like SNS because it lasts way longer than Shellac and the colors don’t fade as fast. They offer to their customers a lovely experience, and everyone is treated like a VIP. As someone who grew up in Montreal, I had tried dozens of mani/pedi places and none of them were as good as Ongles Expert. This place is clean, on time and gets your nail done quickly. They use a plastic wrap for the pedicure sink and this is to ensure that its hygienic for the next client. I have recommended some friends to this place, and they are all regulars now. If you are looking for amazing nails, please go try it out. All the staff are friendly and will provide you with a...
