Awful food, and worse service. I’ve been going to Boustan since the first Boustan on Crescent opened with the original owner and ever since they have been hit or miss depending on the location - but this one is by far the worst. Took a Shish Taouk sandwich which was incredibly bland, no taste, FULL of cabbage as filler with little chicken. I had to throw it out because of how vile it actually was. The potatoes from Boustan were their staple. They have now incorporated curry somehow making them taste completely different. It’s a shame and an absolute mess.
Service is beyond bad. I stood at the counter 10 minutes at the usual spot (Get your sandwich made, make your way to the counter and pay, then leave). But no, you have to pay first and watch an atrocity get made right under your eyes. The cashier is ridiculously loud screaming the orders at the other employees.
I can’t recommend this to anyone and would rather stay hungry or eat anything else than eat here again.
Do yourself a favour and run away.
(No I don’t want any form of compensation and I will not email support for anything - Fix your mess and figure it out, the review is as detailed...
Read moreThere are good Boustans, and there are less good Boustans. This is the BEST Boustan of all the ones I have been too; on all fronts.
The food is top-notch, no matter the time of day, or day of week you go. They are always consistent The place is bright, airy, always clean, well AC'd ,spacious and welcoming. .... and then there is the impeccable service. This staff here really puts in the effort to produce a good product and create a good experience. Whether it's Omel or Abdullah that happen to greet me with their attentive service, or all of the staff in the back -- whose faces I know but whose names I've yet to learn -- who make the visit a positive one, I enjoy going out of my way to come to this Boustan. Quick service ! I've observed that, no matter if there are two people or 20 people in the restaurant, I always get my food order quickly. They put in the effort.
[ I gave them 5 stars DESPITE the fact that they no longer serve Brio ;-) Note to head office: restock Brio again please. And make soft drinks available in cans, not just family-sized bottles ]
Highly...
Read moreTasty Food, Friendly Atmosphere, but Hygiene Concerns
I recently dined at this food place and overall had a pleasant experience. The food was undeniably tasty, and the staff were incredibly friendly, always wearing warm smiles. The atmosphere was inviting, and it seemed like a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
However, there was one notable concern that I couldn't help but notice. The front chef, who was responsible for preparing and plating the food, did not change gloves during my entire visit. This lack of attention to hygiene raised some questions about food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
While the delicious flavors and welcoming staff left a positive impression, the hygiene issue with the front chef gave me pause. I believe it's essential for any restaurant to maintain strict hygiene standards, especially in the kitchen where food is prepared. It's my hope that the management addresses this concern to ensure a safer dining experience for...
