Highly unpleasant experience watching the employee handle my Beyond Meat burger with her bare hands (not to mention all other burgers I saw her make). At one point, she tucked her shirt into her pants, didn’t wash them, and proceeded to continue handling all burgers without gloves. It is unpleasant enough seeing the employee touching other meats and then touching the vegan patty, not only without changing gloves which would have been inappropriate enough, but with bare hands throughout... This increases cross-contamination when the burger itself is already cooked on the same grill as meat. It is very disturbing to see that there seems to be no public health safety protocols when handling food at this restaurant... makes me wary of all other A&Ws I’ve ordered from if this is the case and makes me hesitant to come back, at least I won’t at this location until better protocol is implemented... I ate the burger as I was too famished and travelled the distance but could not actually enjoy it at the truly distasteful knowledge all through my experience that the burger was highly germ-ridden, among other things I don’t want to imagine the employee(s) touch before handling the food. I came here around 4:30 there was 1 person being trained on register and three other employees either cooking aor handling trash. I edited along with a friend in line for over 15 minutes to get my order taken. There were three other people in line ahead of me and one lady stated she had taken a chair to sit in line while she waited because she had been in line for over 15 minutes. I order the chub burger with pickels and no sauce and before I could ask for a drink tye cashier rang up my order and I paid. I advised the cashier I wanted a rooter as well she gave me one for free. I noticed there was no.lettwuce on my chicken sandwich and the chicken looked nothing like the image. Tye cashier offered yo put lettuce on my sandwich but priot to doing so touched her nose with her bare hands then grabbed the lettuce and my bun. I saw someone handling trash however didn't observe hand washing afterwards. This was a very disappointing experience and unfortunately can never again make A&W a choice for me or my family. The seasoning shaker was also empty . I feel.the employees need more service training and safe food handling training.
