Since discovering Bread Box (and meeting the incredible people who run this lovely business) my outlook on grocery shopping has forever changed. This small business provides delicious produce, (much of which is locally sourced) at a fair and honest price. Their veggies are largely no spray, vibrant in healthy colours, and won't go rotten 2 days after putting it in the fridge. I've really started to kick myself for ever shopping at big box stores like superstore or save on for produce and bring so naive to what was in my neighborhood.

Eggs at Bread Box are affordable, huge and delicious - and that's because they get them from people who actually care about their chickens.

Words aren't enough to express to anyone who may read this how desperately we need to support places like Bread Box and how privileged we are to have this as a resource. I never complain about the high costs of groceries anymore and that's because the food I get is always awesome and affordable - thanks to Bread Box.

Not only this, but their selection of cheeses and deli meats are to die for.

Tried and tested by the owners, everything inside this store is hand picked for it's deliciousness and you can taste it in every bite.

The prices appear really good on the shelf and the cashier is friendly. I bought 1 onion and 2 sicks of celery and she tried to charge me $3.15. I only had about $1.75 in change so I pulled out my debit card. She said pay me next time. I gave her all my change and left.

I heard from a close friend that the owner engages you in conversation while allegedly putting her finger on the scale when weighing items. You never get a print out of the weights.

After my experience today I am convinced that what my friend told me was true. Prices appear low but always seem to scale a little higher than they should.

Judge for yourself. I will NEVER shop there again. Ask for a print out of the weights and watch...

While the produce is no spray which I appreciate, mary engages in conversation while charging extra for items I did not purchase. This happened on five occasions before I noticed. I couldnt understand why my bill was high each time. She doesmt give a receipt either. Last time I went I asked for one and I was charged an extra $23.99 for items I did not purchase. When I went in I noticed another customer telling Mary she had overcharged her as well. I read the google reviews and have noticed I am not the only one this has happened, appears intentional....
