First outing in a while. Went to meet some old friends from work and Crescent Drive Park is centrally located with lots of space for safe distancing. Bring some lawn chairs though, most of the standard park equipment is roped off. I brought my dog as well, which means my hands were full and I didn't take any pictures. That was a pity as there were a couple of deer wandered by, and we had to move our circle at one point to let the raccoon in the tree we were using as a bike stand come down. A short while later another one came down from the same tree. There were no mozzies to worry about that evening, but that might not always be the case. Although close to Pembina it is far enough away that there was no traffic noise to content with. In all a nice outdoors, very shady and cooler location for an outdoor...

Both my wife and I are members of the Guyanese Association of Manitoba and we attended the annual picnic on August 20. The biggest event is the Duck Curry competition where members cook a duck on site. A panel of judges taste the curry from each entry and choose the winners. A meal is served for all attendees. During the process, there is music and dancing. It is a day when members get a chance to socialize. Members from the City of Winnipeg, Provincial Government, and Federal Government attended yesterday's picnic. The weather was perfect. The previous accommodation was recently with a...

Love this park. Started coming here over 25 years ago. The fall is especially nice - gorgeous color changes in the trees. The paths are well maintained and run alongside the river and through the forested area in the middle. Plenty of deer to see on every visit. Family of raccoons seen as well a few times. The parking spaces are ample. Lots of great picnic spaces. There is a kids playing area with structures. New bathroom facilities as well. You can visit this place in any season. Very calm and peaceful along the rivers edge. Definitely one of my favorites...

My husband and I went for a walk on July 3rd to check out the 2.9 km loop trail. The nice thing about this trail is that it has wood chips to walk on for a good portion of it, it was dry, it had benches where you could sit by the river, and it was also very quiet too. The down side was that there was a portion of the trail with a fallen tree that you had to climb over and was blocking the trail, there were lots of canker worms that we had to dodge, and the trail is not well marked once you leave the river's edge and head back around the golf course.

Crescent Drive Park is a beautiful urban oasis in Winnipeg that offers a wonderful escape into nature. The park is well-maintained, with lush greenery, serene walking trails, and picturesque views of the Red River. It's an excellent spot for a leisurely stroll, a picnic with family and friends, or a quiet moment of reflection. The park also features a golf course, adding a fun activity for golf enthusiasts. The open spaces and shaded areas provide a perfect setting for relaxation and outdoor activities.
