I recently had the pleasure of visiting Carrières des Lumières near Les Baux de Provence, and I must say it was an incredible experience. This unique art exhibition takes place in an old quarry, where stunning visual projections bring famous artworks to life on the cavernous walls. The moment I stepped into Carrières des Lumières, I was immediately captivated by the immersive atmosphere. The combination of mesmerizing music, dynamic lighting, and larger-than-life artwork created a truly magical ambiance. It felt like I was stepping into the paintings themselves, surrounded by colors, shapes, and emotions. The selection of artwork showcased at Carrières des Lumières is diverse and thoughtfully curated. From the works of Van Gogh to Monet, from Picasso to Dali, there is a wide range of artists and artistic movements represented. Each exhibition tells a unique story, allowing visitors to explore and appreciate the beauty and significance of each piece. What impressed me the most was the seamless integration of technology and art. The high-definition projections and synchronized sound effects added an extra layer of depth and immersion to the experience. It was truly awe-inspiring to witness the art come to life in such a dynamic and engaging way. The staff at Carrières des Lumières were friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the exhibitions. They were always available to answer questions and provide additional insights, enhancing my understanding and appreciation of the artwork. I highly recommend visiting Carrières des Lumières to anyone who appreciates art, history, and innovation. It is a truly unique and unforgettable experience that will leave you inspired and in awe. Whether you are an art enthusiast or simply looking for an extraordinary cultural experience, Carrières des Lumières is a must-visit destination near Les Baux de Provence.

Not typically my thing, and have never attended one of these immersive art shows in the past because I've always thought they were gimmicky and expensive. Because this one was only a few € more after buying our castle tickets, and because I read other glowing reviews we decided to give it a try. Wow, I was blown away! We saw the Dutch art Vermeer to Van Gogh and loved it, but we are also lovers of real Dutch art so we were excited when some of the pieces we've seen in person at museums showed up on the walls. It was just the right length to see the whole thing in an hour but of course you could stay longer if you wanted. Nice and cool inside. Plenty of seating to watch the show, although most people stood and walked around. There was also a cafe inside we didn't go to, but saw signs for.

SO COOL! Can't adequately describe how unique of an experience this is. My husband and I had no idea what to expect. It's art, history, music, technology, ambiance, romance, and reflection all wrapped up into one space, which just happens to be an incredibly expensive and ancient cave. We saw the Monet exhibition and were so glad we did. The castle nearby was amazing and totally worth adding to our ticket. This is appropriate for all ages. Cave is chilly so wear a sweater or light jacket. Cafe has light fare (sandwiches, salads, pastries) and coffee, wine, juices, and sodas. Everything was reasonably priced. (Pictures can't do the experience justice.)

This is a wonderful experience! Paintings are showed in a massive cave. They added special effects and enlarged the paintings to make it absolutely flabbergasting to look at. You'll be drowned (in the best way possible) in art. The music played in the cave gives a nice extra to the experience. Outside there's a small terrace where you can have a drink. The only downside is that the cave is located on a pretty big hill, so you'll have to do a bit of climbing before being able to experience anything from the art. There are parking spots on the hill, but they are usually all full, so I would recommend just taking the climb. It's a very unique experience!

The show is quite pretty. Saw the Deutch painter show and really enjoyed the Mondrian and Van Gogh parts'. The 3D mapping, the sound design, and the animation were all super clean. Congratulations to all the artists who worked on the show. They did an amazing job. The show is 1 hour long and can seem kind of expensive, but the work behind deserves it. The shows are changed regularly, and every yearly visit is a new discovery. They are special edition going on on some of the days. (When I was here, it was about Tintin) I will advise you to check in advance if you want to see a specific piece.

The immersive light show exhibition is a breathtaking fusion of art and technology, casting the impassioned brushstrokes of Van Gogh and his Impressionist contemporaries onto an expansive canvas that envelops the entire space. In the heart of the Baux de Provence region, the raw beauty of the artists' work is amplified, creating a symphony of light that dances across every surface, inviting the viewer into a vivid world where color and texture come alive. This is not just an exhibition; it's a sensory journey that intertwines the soul of Impressionism with the pulse of the present.
