The town is a lovely visit and for that worth the effort. However, beware thieves. We were unlucky enough to have our hire car broken into and everything we had stolen on our very first day whilst making our way to our villa near by. This was supposed to be a lovely pit stop that ended in total dismay and heart ache. Some warning here for future visitors to be ware as hire cars easy target. Would love to know if there is any local support for informing us and future other u fortunate people of where all the beloved possessions of personal value to us but of little worth to thieves might end up if ever found. I got lost hiking from St Remy and the trail was supposed to be above Les Baux. Google maps had drained my battery and I was nearly out of water when I arrived. The lady was so kind and helpful. She charged my phone, filled my water bottle and kindly suggested I explore Les Baux and have an ice cream! She also showed me a much better marked trail back to my starting point.
