Rapa Nui Museum or the  Father Sebastian Englert Anthropological Museum is in Hanga Roa, Rapa Nui(Easter Island) in Chilean Polynesia. Named for the Bavarian missionary, Fr. Sebastian Englert, the museum was founded in 1973 and houses many items of Island's past history and is dedicated to the conservation of the Rapa Nui cultural patrimony. A museum have some interesting artifacts and quite some information on big standing posters (also in English!).

I've read almost all of them and felt better informed about the history of the island, raise and fall of the culture which erected moai. However it left me with a feeling that I still do not understand much.

Possibly, if you are visiting the island with a guide providing information at all the sights seeing the museum can be a nice way of putting it...
