Beijing Wangfujing Street, as one of the symbols of Beijing's commerce, is the most well-known and prosperous shopping street with modern and fashion trends. Located near the city center in Dongcheng District, the street is one of four most prosperous business zones in Beijing.

It is 1,600 meters (1 mile) long ranging from Changan Avenue in the south to National Art Museum of China in the north. With a history of 700 years around, it got the name Wangfu (royal mansion) Jing (well) because there used to be eight royal mansions and a well with sweet water on the street. Currently, it is the busiest street in this city and there are 600,000 people every day come and go and on holidays, the number can rise to 1,200,000.

Wangfujing Street. Wangfujing Street in Beijing is one of the tourists destinations. This place is a wide pedestrian walking area and no car allows getting into. This is what makes this place is so nice to walk and shop. If you want to go there you can take a subway line number 1 stop at Wangfujing Station or line number 5 stop at Dengshikou station.

Along this walking area on the right and left side, there're many shops, branded boutique, shopping malls, souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants and a specific shop that sells locally preserved food, snack, candies, chocolate, and some other things by piece, by weight or packed in a plastic bag and ready to go. Quite a wonderful street with the hustle and bustle always der. At some places I felt it was like tines square but it has all the big brands for shopping and eating. You can find to buy some traditional Chinese stuff. Good place for a walk in the evening if the weather is pleasant. Also a must visit for people in bejiing.
