The Shang Xia Jiu Street, also widely know as Sheung Ha Kau Kai, is a bustling pedestrian street smack-dab in downtown Kwongchow (Guangzhou). The street is opened everyday and will be lit brightly during nightfall, with a fusillade of stalls and shops selling local goods and delicacies along the street at a reasonable price. The street is easily accessible by public transport, with a few metro stations and bus stops situated nearby. Shangxiajiu Commercial Pedestrian Street was quite underwhelming. There wasn’t much to see or do compared to other shopping streets, and it didn’t feel like a must-visit destination for tourists. Another interesting shopping district street to visit in Guang Zhou. ShangXiaJiu Pedestrian Street is very similar to Beijing Pedestrian Street with shops and restaurants at both ends. They have statues of how the street used to be like in the past and the place is very well maintained. Im sure they wash the street every morning like Beijing Lu. Its quite a distance to walk from the metro but also a good opportunity to see how China people live...
