After doing our shopping at the nearby Shangxia Jiu shopping street, we came by here for our teabreak. It was drizzling then but the shop was almost full house but we managed to get a table as the diners had just left.

Cafe was ok aka similar to the cha-chan-teng (teahouse) concept.

This was a popular chain of restaurants for cantonese and dim sum and so we ordered the porridge, wanton noodles and cheong fun. Well, must say the foods were nice and yummy, well cooked and not oily or too salty.

However, service was not that good. The cashier who sat rooted to the chair at the entrance was pulling a long face whenever someone went over to order the food. So you have to pay first before the foods were to be served.

For us, it was the same though we spoke the same language. She was not helpful at all when we asked the differences among the variety and she listened wrongly and took down the wrong dish. We didn't confront her or I think a heated argument would surface since she was shouting loudly at another customer.

So we had to reorder again and had an extra bowl...

This is a great restaurant that sells high quality rice noodle rolls. They have a lot of branches, even in Singapore and the US. Their rice noodle rolls are reasonable and delicious, made to perfection. We also ordered their porridge and it tasted good as well. So soothing and relaxing to get a perfectly done bowl of porridge. We like it, just that the service is not good. The workers don't smile, that's a down side. But other than that,...
