Aberdeen Chinese Permanent Cemetery — Attraction in Hong Kong

Came here around 4pm on the weekdays, however please note that there is no shop to purchase flowers and offering pack. Didn’t know it closes at 4.30pm, went to purchase flower and offering nearby and return around 4.35pm and it stated closed. Was checking with the security guard however they didn’t allow me to enter after 4.30pm strictly thankfully I managed to get hold of the person in charge Mr Cao “曹” he was very nice and understanding that I came all the way from Singapore and wanted to visit. He allowed me to visit for couple of minutes at least I didn’t leave with regrets. Thumbs up to Mr Cao 曹! Thanks for the understanding and the accommodation....

I have visited many cemeteries all around the world and this cemetery is one of the most difficult to navigate and explore. It's like a labyrinth with endless steps up and down and insufficient signage. Though I had the exact address of the graves, I could only locate two in the end. It's not possible to visit this cemetery without a guide.

If you want to enter the cemetery from a higher point, take the bus to the stop near Peel Rise and walk along the path until you find the steps down...

What makes this cemetary special is there are a lot of very famous historical figures buried here. It has a nice view of the harbor. But the organization is very confusing. My Cantonese girlfriend was trying to find the tomb of a famous historical educator and it took us more than half an hour and a lot of wandering around to find the right place, despite knowing the exact number...
