The tenant said she and her family were making these for centuries, something was odd as I know a bit about embroidery ( my mother use to embroider) I decided to ask her a simple question " how long does it take to make this kinda piece?" The museum is still open to the public despite the coronavirus restrictions. At the entrance you'll be asked if you want to watch a short video on the local handicraft (lacemaking tradition) - i'd recommend this video. The exhibits on the ground floor (local agriculture) have descriptions but the ones (lacemaking) on the first floor don't. Lovely little museum in the heart of Lefkara. The entry is free, but you have to leave your bags in a safe locker, you can keep your camera and phone with you.
