Aquadome Billund — Attraction in Billund Municipality

The park should be 5 stars but some things let it down, firstly don't come on a weekend as it's absolutely full. I'd recommend coming on a Sunday if you have a house and leaving on a Friday. During the week is far less people however we are not here in main season.

The food halls, what can I say overpriced and underwhelming school food. We decided to eat out at pizza and steak house in the town, but they only take cash or danish bank card.

The pool is the main attraction and it's very baby friendly our baby is 1 and loved it, our 2 year old loved the middle baby pool with the slides, all the flooring is slip proof and it's warm, the baby pool is very well heated and the large warm pools are very hot 🔥 perfect to end the day with. The food court in the pool is pretty poor and the staff are nice but overwhelmed when the pools full. I recommend the chicken tenders and chips or the pizza but the crust is very dry. We would love to try the Asia food but it's been closed the whole time.

The slides are lots of fun and are height restricted so be careful if your children are under a meter. Again don't come on a Saturday as it's rammed, There isn't enough rings for the slides and if you ain't the walking type then it's not for you as you got to carry and walk to the top with the rings. But that's expected right 👍 We went on a Saturday and it's was horrendous but Monday was totally different. Again not main season.

The parks, The play parks are amazing our. They have them all over the housing complex. The whole park is well maintained and clean. Parking on the first day is horrible as you have to use the main carpark which costs an exit fee of 65dkk I think it's just a money scam but that's how it is. You pay alot of money for your house they could make your first day parking included but that's just being me.

We have the classic 8 plus house and it's in the middle of the park, on first sight it's nice 👍 it's pretty clean, the windows were filthy though bit of a shame as the main view point is glass wall and it's dirty.

I'd definitely come again but we would wait for our children to be 5 and 6 so they can enjoy the park more, and we would never come in main season and a Sunday to mid week or Sunday to a Friday. And have plenty of cash don't come here on a budget or you won't enjoy it. Food and things are definitely expensive 🫰

All in all we will be coming back but our children are too young at the moment to enjoy the full potential this...

Ich denke, ob man den Lalandia Aquadome in Billund gut oder schlecht findet, hängt unmittelbar davon ab, wo man bereits war und welche anderen Bäder man kennt. Wir haben öfters am Weißenhäuser Strand an der deutschen Ostsee Urlaub gemacht, der ja ein ganz ähnliches Konzept verfolgt wie Lalandia. Das Spaßbad am Weißenhäuser Strand kommt uns größer vor, allerdings darf man auch nicht vergessen, dass dieses vor wenigen Jahren saniert und erweitert wurde.

Aber zurück zum Lalandia Aquadome: für das, was hier mengenmäßig an Menschenmassen aus und ein geht, ist der Aquadome sehr sauber und gepflegt. Auch die Toiletten, Duschen und Umkleiden (Männer und Frauen Umkleiden befinden sich in unterschiedlichen Stockwerken und sind somit streng getrennt, was irgendwie lustig ist, da es hier ansonsten doch so viele Unisex Toiletten gibt). In der Damen Dusche gibt es gesonderte Duschabteile für Mütter mit ganz kleinen Kindern, und Baby-Badewannen, was einem das Duschen mit Baby sehr erleichtert.

Es wird im Übrigen peinlich darauf geachtet, dass auch wirklich jede*r duscht und sich die Haare wäscht, bevor er ins Bad geht. Wer mit trockenen Haaren oder trockener Badekleidung kommt, riskiert eine Ansprache vom Personal. Auch in den Toiletten sind Duschen installiert, denn nach dem Toilettengang wird man gebeten, sich abzuduschen.

Es gibt verschiedene Becken und Rutschen, die alle nur über kurze Fußwege verbunden sind, wahrscheinlich entsteht so der Eindruck, dass der Aquadome sehr klein ist. Nach nur ungefähr einer Stunde hat man zumindest alles schon einmal gesehen.

In Billund lernt man ja überall das Warten, so wundert es nicht, dass sich auch hier an den Rutschen lange Schlangen bilden. Zumindest bei den Power Racern sowie der Jungle und der River Tube geht es aber einigermaßen zügig voran, und die Rutschen machen auch wirklich Spaß. Die meisten sind ganz gut für jüngere Kinder ab ca. 6 Jahren geeignet, und viele kann man auch zu zweit fahren.

Insgesamt fand ich die Luft und das Wasser in den meisten Becken eher kühl, abgesehen von den Baby Becken und dem Whirlpool, der teils innen und teils draußen liegt und so heiß ist, dass viele ihn gleich wieder verlassen haben. Bei Regen oder kaltem Wind draußen im heißen Whirlpool zu liegen ist zugegeben schon ein ziemliches Highlight. Ein paar Massagedüsen finden sich hier auch.

Draußen befindet sich übrigens noch ein Außenbecken mit kälterem Wasser, in dem man mit viel Glück ein paar (wenn auch sehr kurze) Bahnen schwimmen kann, sowie ein Liegebereich und ein Trampolin.

Wie leider fast in allen Spaßbädern ist auch im Lalandia die Gastronomie eher wenig ansprechend. Der Foodcourt bietet Speisen aus den drei Stilrichtungen Asian, Italian und American. Wir hatten eine Pizza Margherita, einen Burger mit Pommes und eine Poke Bowl mit Falafel als einzige vegane Variante (immerhin). Während Pizza und Burger wohl einigermaßen ok waren (mehr auch nicht), war meine Poke Bowl bestehend aus Reis, schwarzem Sesam, Gurke, Avocado, Zwiebeln, Edamame und vier winzigen Falafel Bällchen eiskalt, wie direkt aus dem Kühlschrank genommen, und hat deshalb überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Leider war auch überhaupt keine Soße oder Dressing drauf, und daher war der Reis sehr trocken. Würde ich definitiv nicht wieder kaufen.

Achtung: Um im Restaurant zu bezahlen, braucht man sein Portemonnaie oder muss das Lalandia Bändchen vorher mit Geld aufladen, das geht entweder an der Kasse vom Restaurant oder draußen am Eingang bzw. bei Sport & Bowling.

Überall im Aquadome ist es übrigens wahnsinnig laut. Die Sauna habe ich nicht besucht.

Fazit: Alles in allem ganz nett, wenn man sowieso in Lalandia wohnt und der Eintritt inklusive ist, so dass man auch mal nur für ein paar Stunden vorbeikommen kann. Für einen Tagesausflug nicht geeignet, da zu klein und zu voll.

Und wenn ich mir die vielen Baustellen um unser Ferienhaus herum so anschaue, denke ich, dass man vor dem Hintergrund steigender Gästezahlen hier unbedingt erweitern oder den Einlass beschränken muss, um seine Gäste nicht langfristig...

Lalandia, and Aquadome are the kind of places that I would never have been taken as a kid. It is loud, crowded, slisghtly overpriced and all in all a bit plasticky.

I recently went there as an adult with my sister, brother-in-law and my niece, who is seven years old. And Lalandia met all of my expectations. It was loud, crowded and slightly overpriced. There were activities to do everywhere and lots of ways to spend your money.

As someone who enjoys time by myself somewhere quiet, I could not have been more misplaced. But then again, the place is not made for someone looing for solace and a quieet time. My niece had a relly good time, both swimming in the outdoor pool, trying largeer and larger waterslides for the first time, we had an evening of sitting on the roofed porch in the rain looking at a thundeerstorm, seeing three hares hop by. She enjoyed the mini-golf with her dad and we visited a good few playgrounds.

All in all, I would say that I enjoyed my time, and could recommend it to anyone with kids, who wants to have everything within a short distance (I still have to review both Legoland, and Lego house). If you want a relaxing holiday far away from crouds where you can go for long walks by yourself, then you should go...
