My Detailed Mangroovy Residence - El Gouna||Experience. This is quite a lengthy post, but if you're ever thinking about visiting Mangroovy Residence - El Gouna one day and can't read it all now, be sure to save it for later!||||This review is an honest representation of the highs and lows stating my experience sharing both the moments of frustration and irresponsibility as well as those of support and professionalism. Little did I know that my stay would turn into a whirlwind of frustration, and I feel the need to share the full story without any sugarcoating as follows:||||I made a reservation at Mangroovy Residence in Gouna, and booked it a week in advance on Booking. I expected them to contact me before my stay to clarify payment procedures and obtain the necessary identification details as per their booking policy. However, no communication whatsoever was made. Three days before my stay, I decided to reach out to them myself. Only then did they provide the payment procedure and indicate that they would soon request my identification.||||Fast forward to just 12 hours before my stay, they finally reached out to me, requesting my identification via WhatsApp. They confirmed that no pets were allowed, the insurance fees, and inquired about my arrival time. Nothing was mentioned about any issues with entrance approvals.||||I arrived at Gouna gates at 2 PM, which marked the beginning of a series of unfortunate events. The security staff requested a QR code. I contacted Mangroovy Residence, and they said it was coming in a few minutes. Minutes turned into hours. After waiting for 2 hours, they informed me that there was an issue with my entrance approval from Gouna Management's side. Did they just let us drive from Cairo to Gouna without ensuring our approvals were in order knowing that there was a very real possibility that our approvals could have been rejected? Yes, they did.||||To make matters worse, Mangroovy Residence's representative essentially asked me to figure things out with Security and Community Care on my own. I was now left on my own, back to the wall, and all I have is individual effort trying to resolve the situation and to do the representative’s job. I found myself spending another two hours negotiating with everyone from Gouna Security, to Mangroovy Residence, to Gouna Community Care with each of them blaming responsibility on the other.|| ||||All of them, no exceptions, were dealing with zero respect, professionalism, or even ownership on their ends. An hour later, Mangroovy Residence representative washed his hands of any ownership of the situation, suggesting we could find another place (namely a competitor of theirs: Mövenpick) or go back to Cairo. There we are, me, my mom, and my sisters, stuck at Gouna gates for four hours now in July's sun all because Mangroovy Residence failed to fulfill their responsibilities ahead of our arrival as if they'd never heard of anything called guest experience.||||I Finally reached Mangroovy Residence's operations manager who was the only one ever to show empathy and professionalism. Guess what? I figured out just now he knows nothing about my case. I was about to leave Gouna without the reservations team even trying to escalate the issue to their management.||||After nearly an hour and a half, we finally got the approvals, and we checked in at 7 p.m., but our vacation was already ruined. We thought about just going back to Cairo, but we needed some rest before the drive.|| ||Upon our arrival at the Mangroovy Residence, the representative and a team member welcomed us and offered apologies for the inconvenience. The following day, we requested a refund for the first night, which had been effectively wasted. We believed it was our right not to pay for a night we couldn't use. The representative offered us two options to sleep over: one free night or a late check-out. Initially, I declined both options, as neither suited my needs.||||However, after some consideration, I agreed reluctantly to take an extra night over late check-out. Guess what? They hit me the next day with a message saying the extra night request was "disapproved by the management". They technically disapproved of their own offer. I told them they were seriously underestimating the whole mess and the five hours of humiliation we endured at the gates. This was when things got a little too heated.||||At this point, the representative became defensive and shifted blame onto Gouna Management, suggesting that the issue is with them as if my reservation was with Gouna Management and not Mangroovy Residence. The representative even made inappropriate remarks about Gouna's approval process, which was both offensive and unprofessional as he said that Gouna disapproves of guests because they know things about them that we don't know, followed by an insulting yet very vulgar threat: “ماتخلينيش أزعّلك" as if we had imposed some threat to those going to enjoy Gouna.||||My frustration reached a boiling point, and I decided to take the matter to the highest possible escalation. I contacted the operations manager, who had been the only source of support throughout my stay, and I asked him to connect me with the representative's manager.||||I had a conversation with the representative's manager, who was decent and open to my perspective. Although he initially was a little bit defensive. I told him that this mess happened because someone asked for our IDs only 12 hours before our arrival, remembered to confirm that no pets are allowed, but very conveniently 'forgot' to mention that our approvals were still up in the air. I let him know that they’re not admitting their mistakes would make this experience repeatable with other guests.||||He turned out not knowing the whole story, and he eventually acknowledged Mangroovy Residence's mistake. He offered a sincere apology and provided me with two options: a refund for the first night or a free night's stay. I chose the refund option as I couldn’t handle this extended ruined vacation, which he agreed to process.||||Just to be clear, this isn't a complaint or a request for compensation. It's my way of sharing the full story so that future guests may know what could happen to them. I've already received what's rightfully mine in the form of the cost of the night I didn't use, and I'm not seeking or accepting any additional favors.||||To be honest with potential guests, this place in its current hierarchy of work, ownership skills, and level of training suits best tourists who take their work home. You’d have to exploit your skill sets of tolerating having your energy consumed until it’s drained, exorcizing your A-game negotiation skills and tactics as you’d need it to explain their situation several times to several people.||||If you’re thinking of going to shut your battery off, forget about the work you have at your workplace, and hibernate your frustration from your work and personal lives, I’d have to quote the representative on this where he recommended going to...

Read moreFor 3 years I ve Discovered Grovin. Since then, if I want a flawless vacation, i always return to Mangroovy. But why Grovin. ||||1.First:The location. The complex is brand New, located on The beach directly. You have 3 possibilite to enjoy the sun of El Gouna:on the private beach of the complex, where is free, on the 3 Locations,, actually 3 private restaurants in the end of Gouna(Makani beach,, kite and another one), and on The top roof of your own apartment, if you like topless. Guess which one I ve chosed. Smile smile smile||2.Avoiding hectic. Five stars hotels are a good idea în Egypt, especially because they offer all inclusive at resonable prices. But..... The noise. I like my mornings quiet, not around lousy kids, families with no manners. The entertaining team(they always have one in five stars hotels, along with their loud music and this bad habit to disturb you to participate at their borring activities when they see you relaxed read ing a good book). No:thanks. But:they are payed to do that. In Mangroovy you ONLY have one bodyguard, and you only see him Once or twice untill he verifies if you are really a Guest at Mangroovy, or..... an owner. The complex is quiet,, you have two huge swimming pools just for you, and în The early morning you risk to be alone. About coffee:they offer Coffee machine, but Best Coffee is at the restaurant outside the complex(maybe 5 minutes walk). They open at 11 am, so if you are a morning person,it s better to prepare a Coffee alone.||Also, they have a supermarket inside the complex, and they sell water, sweets, some junk food, at really low prices.||3.The place IS CLEAN, trust me. Now, read ing the comments, i can only tell you that anyone can make a Photo of a dirty paper and place it on The site of Trip, obviously Trip does not verify if the Photos are real or no. If you need REAL comments of real tourists you should VERIFY their booking site. The place is CLEANER than any 5 stars hotels in Hurghada, el gouna. Still,, you should know that în egypt all cleaning personal are.... Men.||4.Quality-price.I prefer paying a bit more, but having 120 sqm of luxury JUST for myself.||5.Check in and deposit. I had the chance to be welcomed each time by Mr Romany(a man of honor), my deposit was returned, and the check in at the GATE OF GOUNA was provided each time for me and my Friends fast, and without any complications. Also, Once I had to cancel my reservation for personal reasons(i lost my flight, smile smile smile and mr Romany personally made sure I was not charged for the reservation I ve canceled the same day. Normally i was supposed to pay. Thank you Mr Romany.||In November i will return and i will book this place for the 4 th time. I hope mr Romany wil make me a good price, as if i ve learned something în egypt în The Last 13 years, is that i can negociate better now....
