Fanadir Hotel El Gouna — Hotel in Gamsha

I hate to leave a bad review but this is not a real hotel. No one communicates. Everything takes time to get the easiest things done, I would have rather just did everything myself. It is dead empty but for some reason everything takes a long time. There aren’t people ready to provide service like a normal hotel. ||The reception is 2 buildings down, so you have to walk a little bit (not far) to get to breakfast. It’s a continental breakfast, nothing wrong with that but you just have to walk only to get a continental breakfast, just doesn’t make sense for a four star hotel.||There is one guy to carry the luggage, again for a four star hotel it doesn’t make sense it’s not efficient. ||We wanted to go to the beach, we went to the reception to get towels and ice. They don’t have a place to get ice like most hotels. It took 30 minutes for them to call whoever they needed to and bring it. They eventually brought towels and told us to wait for the ice because they’re getting it. After another 10-15 minutes we asked where the ice is and he said we don’t have any ice, I’m sorry. They made us wait a half hour and told us the ice was coming and the found out they didn’t have ice? If we never asked again we would have just been waiting forever. What kind of hotel doesn’t have ice? Also why tell a customer you have something and it’s coming if you don’t? Terrible service. Eventually we were able to resolve this (after an hour). These things should just be readily available but they’re not.||The coffee they provide is instant coffee in a package. most hotels at least have pods of coffee or something. I had an uber ride scheduled to take us to the airport so I needed them to bring the luggage down. I told them a time and they didn’t come in time I had to go to the reception to ask where the guy was which put me at risk of missing my ride and my flight. ||Overall it’s a nice looking place, however, I would never stay here again and unfortunately wouldn’t recommend it for anyone else either. Fanadir är ett nybyggt (öppnade 1 november 2010) mindre hotell som verkligen satsar på att gästerna ska trivas. Hotellet har bara 54 rum i olika storlekar inkluderat ett par sviter. ||Personalen är alltid tillmötesgående och gör allt för att tillgodose dig som gäst på bästa vis. Redan vid ankomsten möts man vid bussen av någon som tar väskorna och väl inne i hotellobbyn möts man av trevlig personal och här får man även en välkomstdrink. Rummen på hotellet är väl tilltagna oavsett om man har det vanliga standardrummet med utsikt mot innergården och poolen eller rummet mot marinan (mot tillägg). Rum finns med olika lägen antingen standard som har balkong och utsikt mot poolen – några av dessa har även direktutgång till poolen – andra rum med balkong och utsikt mot marinan. Samtliga rum har balkong. Hotellet är byggt i en cirkel. Poolen (både barnpool och vanlig swimmingpool) ligger i mitten av huskropparna. Det finns även en poolbar där man kan sitta i poolen vid bardisken och väljer man att ligga på solstolar runt poolen blir man servad kontinuerligt med drinkar, läsk och/eller kaffe och snacks – man behöver inte hämta själv. Man blir hela tiden uppassad – även poolhandduken och solstolen placeras på önskad plats av personalen. ||Frukosten kan rekommenderas att äta på uteserveringen vilken är placerad i direkt anslutning till restaurangen under ett segeltak. Lunch och middag serveras som buffé och här finns olika maträtter varje dag att välja – allt från fisk och kött till fågel och olika smakrika soppor men för det får vi inte glömma bort dessertbordet. ||Fanadir är ett hotell med komfort över medel och passar personer och familjer som vill ha en avkopplande tid utan en massa störande moment som lekar och morgongymnastik i poolen. Inget av detta finns här vilket då passar de som vill lämna sådant hemma och i stället vill uppleva något annat på semestern. Man kan uppfatta det som en plats för vila och rekreation med lugn och ro – en plats där man samlar kraft och får ny energi.
