Pros: -The room & the bathroom are very clean, I can't stress this enough that point is important to me. Organized place stuff is supportive. Hotel is very close to the beach - 5-min walk food (I booked breakfast only): it tasted good & a menu of 16 items you can choose 7, the service from the breakfast stuff was amazing & they're very polite, helpful. Value for Money for me is worth it, and I am definitely will be coming back there again Room service comes early between 10 -11 am which is good for me because if you come from the beach like 12 or so for any reason you will find your room clean and organized Beach stuff are making sure where you relax is clean
Cons: mini fridge/mini bar : barely working, you can say it's working with 10% of its power not cooling anything at all, so any ice creams, chocolates won't last cold. Water will be room temperature, and you will not have any cold water. Location of mini bar is weird it's inside a table's small compartment with closed door which is making the compartment very hot and that reflects on the performance of the fridge
breakfast quantities : it's not an open buffet, so you can refill anything you want. Quantities are small
At the beach you will be suddenly asked from beach stuff (he didn't introduce himself, nor why he's asking, I just noticed the badge on his shirt) about :
1-which hotel are you staying in 2-room number 3-your name
which these are a lot of information to give to a random guy on the beach even from the beach stuff (remember that he didn't introduce himself nor why he's doing this, he just popped up and asked)
His reason (after "many times" of asking why he wants that info) was he needs to document all the guests that come to the beach, because if you're not staying at a hotel or a property owner you'll have to pay 250 LE that step I should be informed about from the Hotel or a coordination should be done from the Hotel with the beach stuff I didn't feel comfortable sharing this info with him, and felt worried about my valuables in my room. I was asked about my ( name, hotel, room number ) every day I came for the beach which became an...
Read moreWe were a group of friends staying for 4 nights and here's our experience:
The Check in was super quick and nice and Shenouda's attention to details was remarkable and definitely made our stay pleasant. Merbey Restaurant's ambience and view were pretty good and most of the staff were quite nice and welcoming specially Merihan. Merbey offered a set menu breakfast (you can choose between the oriental breakfast;that included Zaater Manoucha and some delicious Falafel and the intercontinental breakfast) The cold cuts (mainly beef luncheon) were terrible, stay away from it That being said, I believe giving us the choice to choose from different items (like what was applied before) is way better than having to choose between 2 menus the restaurant's The room was spacious, very clean and we had a room with a good view probably the best in the hotel (room 214 🤫) The hotel granted you free access to Marina Beach and Moods Beach It's a 10 minutes walking distance/2-3 minutes by car between the hotel and moods beach
This hotel has a sister hotel called Fanadir that's from the outside looks likes it was recently renovated and although Fanadir's guests can enjoy their breakfast at Merbey Restaurant and both hotels were fully booked but it wasn't crowded at all. You will not enjoy your room view that much as it's going to be a pool view and not one of the best views in Gouna hotels 😅 but it was more than decent compared to what we paid so it's a really good value for money.
Special Shout-outs to the awesome peeps that made us love our stay: Merihan from Merbey, your a gem Shenouda from reception, you're awesome Mohamed from housekeeping, you're one the good and...
Read moreI had booked a room through Booking.com but couldn’t confirm the reservation due to unexpected travel issues (my friend couldn’t make it to Egypt, and I had to return to Cairo). What could’ve been a completely stressful and disappointing experience was completely turned around by the incredible hotel staff.
Not only were they extremely professional, but they were also genuinely some of the kindest people I’ve encountered in any service in Egypt. Despite the booking being non-refundable, they cancelled it with no hassle and didn’t charge me any fees, simply because they could see how overwhelmed I was. That small act of kindness made such a huge difference. They even let me store my luggage at reception so I could take a stroll around Gouna before my bus back to Cairo and did so with nothing but warmth and patience.
I didn’t end up staying the night, but from the moment I stepped into the hotel, the ambiance was so serene and welcoming. Beautiful space, beautiful energy, and most of all, beautiful people. I’m truly sad I didn’t get to stay this time, but I’ll absolutely be coming back and bringing my family and friends with me, just to experience the hospitality of this...
