It’s hard giving them a lower review as this because of how great Mori’s quality of ingredients used to be but to be completely honest, the decline in freshness of sashimi and rolls is such a disappointment.
For those who will argue that it’s hard to source ingredients in Gouna, the same suppliers and issues exist in Cairo, too :(
The sushi wasn’t bad in that the rolls were still enjoyable, but I cannot compare it to other sushi brands who maintain their quality of sashimi and ingredients which are felt in the overall flavor of the rolls and sashimi.
My greatest disappointment was the squid sashimi (AVOID) which is usually a delicacy when presented in good quality and freshness. We were served obviously defrosted squid which was fishy (ظفره) and had a horrid not-fresh texture.
Even the garnishes they use on the plate look like their ages-old.
