MOODS Restaurant & Beach Club, El Gouna — Restaurant in Gamsha

Ok where do I start? With the good stuff first, I visited the private beach on my first day in Gouna. I found it clean, quite, well equipped with beach shezlong chairs and the water was clean. We particularly enjoyed the class of the nearby visitors as we felt comfortable around them as we enjoyed the sun.

A couple of days later we visited at night to dine in. Wasn’t the best experience, the service was poor, I ordered Blue Cheese Codon Bleu it was ok, It was just ONE PIECE of chicken which is strange. Also I was not pleased to find out I can only choose ONE side dish. And when I pointed that out the waiter told me that this is the standard thing in Gouna and that I don’t understand how things go by “here”. I stressed that this is a standard two side dishes thing worldwide. Plus just the day before I had a two side dishes with my platter at “Breeze” restaurant across the street in the Marina. The guy didn’t listen and boldly said “Offering our customers two side dishes would be too expensive and we won’t make any money out of you”. I gave up. My wife ordered a chicken BBQ pizza which we found it delicious. She could not eat it whole and there were 3 slices left which we requested to take them away. They complied to our request just to find out when we got home they only gave us 2 of the 3 remaining slices!!!

Also the check was wrong and they added more items than we ordered and if i didn’t notice it i would have paid 60 pounds extra for things (coke) that i didn’t order.

The place was also too expensive we paid 606LE for Blue cheese cordon bleu and BBQ pizza and two cans of coke and a bottle of water.

The day before we ordered very similarly at breeze and paid only 405LE.

Mediocre overall experience

Seafood plate is 2 shrimps, some calamari and one tiny so-called boneless crab which is rice with some filling in its shell Chicken Alfredo pasta was tasty Lemon-mint juice presentation is really nice. Gorgeous cocktail glass, good taste. Some mint to finish it up nicely Here draft beer is served which I find quite rare in here

Strawberry cheesecake is a joke tbh. Weird texture of wheat or something powder-like in the cheese part. Representation is a mess. Broken edge and two splashes of very ordinary strawberry jam on top and next to the piece. Def does not stand up to the standards of “restaurant like desserts” more like home defrosted and served in a rush Oh and I opted for it as for the quickest dessert option, but it was brought much later than my coffee. I’d say in 15ish mins. Which is again very unlike restaurant standards to serve a drink and dessert with such time difference

Service seemed very slow, but quite polite. A bunch of unoccupied waiters seemed not even looking at 5+ tables on one side. So it deemed to be quite challenging to get any attention. (Considering the location it seemed quite unexpected) Empty plates were collected very last minute

Will I be back? No, thank you. Is it a bad place? No, the location and interior is pretty (I’d guess it is absolutely stunning during the sunset) This place has all chances to be very high quality restaurant just with a bit of improvements on service and...

Please don't go you will be scammed Not even deserve anything I had a very big problem with my family I were stucked in the bathroom of moods cafe for over 30 minutes I couldn't breathe I lost my self because I have chest allergy and panic attack and claustrophobia started to knocking the door till they opened to me And they start blaming me and shouting to me plus insulting my family My daughter start have panic and crying Because of the attitude I made a report against the place in the department of elgouna security Plus my wife starting now to call her embassy and tourism police against this attacked Please don't go you will be scammed

As you close the replays back So l would like to let you know and informing you, that no one apologized for me and my family and no one understands that I have Claustrophobia and had an issues for breathing Your manager was shouting to me , blaming me that's it's my fault and could happened to my home!!!! Instead of calming me down 👇🏽 And other person came and prevented me to record the broken door and unfortunately I recorded it and how it's looking

Unprofessional treatment for your guest and disrespectful way offering lemon juice instead of calming me down and apologizes So rude and unprofessional And I'll keep posting it every where and already reported you Because of the panic you caused to my little daughter and the horrible...
