The archaeological museum in Matrouh Governorate, which was opened by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the new city of El Alamein, through the "video conference", represents a panorama to display the artifacts of different historical eras, which represent the region, and among the exhibits is a large collection of artifacts that were discovered in the Matrouh desert . The museum is the first of its kind in the Matrouh Governorate, and it contains about 1000 artifacts from the Pharaonic, Roman, Coptic and Islamic eras and some artifacts from the era of the rule of one of the Libyan antiquities of Egypt in ancient times. The museum was established on an area of ​​1560 square meters flat, two floors in the western part of the Egypt Public Library in the center of Marsa Matruh, to serve the tourist movement in the governorate and to be an archaeological and cultural landmark in the tourist governorate by nature. Ilham Salah, head of the museums sector at the Ministry of Antiquities, confirmed in a special statement that the museum was prepared and equipped, after years of stopping, with the assistance of Major General Alaa Abu Zaid, the governor of Matrouh, who provided the necessary financial capabilities, through coordination and signing a cooperation protocol between the governorate and the Ministry of Antiquities. She pointed out that the museum includes a two-storey block and includes about 1,000 antiquities, and there was a concern that the displayed artifacts represent a comprehensive panorama in line with the coastal, desert and border nature, during the Pharaonic, Roman, Greek, Coptic and Islamic eras, and the first floor of the museum includes an exposed display led by two statues of Abu Sphinx and statues of some kings and leaders who lived on the land of Matruh, during various historical periods, such as Ramses II, Ahmose II and Alexander the Great, in addition to some paintings that illustrate the protection of the western borders of Egypt, and also includes statues of some deities such as El Its Sekhmet and some Roman statues. The second floor includes statues of various sizes, fishing gear, spears, swords and coins, a set of tools for astronomy and artifacts from the Coptic era, some icons and crosses, and an ancient manuscript of the Gospel, in addition to artifacts from Islamic times such as mashrabiyas, arabesques, carpets, and others. The Governor of Matrouh stressed that he expects a great turnout to visit the museum, after its opening, whether from foreign or domestic tourism from the province’s Mustafa, pointing out that the establishment of the first regional museum of antiquities in the governorate is an important step for tourism activation and spreading awareness of the importance of antiquities and their value. ويعد المتحف هو الأول من نوعه فى محافظة مطروح، ويضم حوالى 1000 قطعة أثرية من العصور الفرعونية والرومانية والقبطية والإسلامية وبعض القطع الأثرية الخاصة بحقبة حكم إحدى الأثر الليبية لمصر فى العصور القديمة. أقيم المتحف على مساحة 1560 مترًا مسطحًا، من طابقين بالجزء الغربى من مكتبة مصر العامة فى وسط مدينة مرسى مطروح، ليخدم الحركة السياحية بالمحافظة وليكون معلمًا أثريًا وثقافيًا بالمحافظة السياحية بطبيعتها. وأشارت إلى أن المتحف يضم مكون من طابقين ويضم حوالى 1000 قطعة أثرية، وكان هناك حرص على أن تمثل القطع الأثرية المعروضة بانوراما شاملة تتماشى مع الطبيعة الساحلية والصحراوية والحدودية، خلال العصور الفرعونية والرومانية واليونانية والقبطية والإسلامية، ويضم الطابق الأول من المتحف عرض مكشوف يتصدره تمثالان لأبى الهول وتماثيل لبعض الملوك والقادة الذين عاشوا على أرض مطروح، خلال الحقب التاريخية المختلفة، مثل رمسيس الثانى وأحمس الثانى والإسكندر الأكبر، بالإضافة إلى بعض اللوحات التى توضح حماية حدود مصر الغربية، كما يضم تماثيل بعض المعبودات مثل الإله سخمت وبعض التماثيل الرومانية. ويضم الطابق الثانى تماثيل صغيرة مختلفة الأحجام وأدوات الصيد والرماح والسيوف والعملات، ومجموعة أدوات لعلوم الفلك وقطع أثرية من العصر القبطية وبعض الأيقونات والصلبان ومخطوط قديم للإنجيل، بالإضافة إلى القطع الأثرية من العصور الإسلامية من مثل المشربيات والأرابيسك...

متحف آثار مطروح داخل (مكتبة مصر العامة) بمحافظة مطروح بالتعاون مع المحافظة لإلقاء الضوء على مدينة مرسى مطروح وتاريخها الحافل على مر العصور من واقع أعمال الحفائر بالمنطقة. &سعر الدخول للطالب/ة ١٠جنيه وللفرد ٢٠ ج ولمن اكبر من ٦٠ عام مجانا &. تبلغ المساحة الكلية للمتحف 728م2، مقسمة على طابقين. يضم المتحف العديد من القطع الأثرية التي تبرز إنجازات ملوك مصر خلال العصور المختلفة وأهمها الفترة الفرعونية مثل تأمين الحدود وإقامة الحصون بما يبرز الأهمية التاريخية للمنطقة بالإضافة إلى دورها فيما يتعلق بالصيد والتجارة وعلاقتها بجيرانها، كما تسلط المعروضات الضوء على معبودات الصحراء. أيضا يتناول سيناريو العرض المتحفي موضوعات أخرى كالفلك، والعلوم، والفلسفة وقسم لبعض الاثار المسيحية ✝️ والقسم الاخير...
