Dolphin House Hurghada — Attraction in Red Sea

On September 12, 2025, we went to the Dolphin House with five people, of whom four swam with dolphins. What was supposed to be a beautiful day turned into one big disappointment.

According to the website, the photos would cost €35 per person, so a total of €140. But immediately a discussion began: for the photos with the dolphins on the platform, we suddenly had to pay extra. Even the photos taken during the 10-minute swimming session with the dolphins right in the middle of the program were charged separately. This is pure fraud. There was never any prior communication that these would supposedly not be included. Anyone would expect them to be part of the package.

On top of that, the photos themselves were poor: dark, full of shadows, and unprofessional. Absolutely unacceptable.

The whole program felt rushed everything was fast, fast, fast, with no personal attention. My daughter, who was afraid of swimming, repeatedly asked if she could just have photos taken in the water without actually swimming. At first, they agreed, but in the end they made the dolphins swim anyway. Her request was completely ignored.

When we complained, a so-called manager named Sherif came over. This man should absolutely not be a manager: instead of listening calmly and professionally, he started yelling at our daughter. Outrageous, disrespectful, and intimidating. He ruined our entire experience.

The staff are uninterested, unfriendly, and do not listen at all. Everything there revolves around money, not about people or the experience. After 11 years of loyal visits, we can only conclude: the Dolphin House has completely turned into a commercial racket where customers are ripped off and treated with disrespect.

We will never return and absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone. If you are looking for a pleasant dolphin experience, do NOT go here you will only get frustration, poor service, and a manager who yells at you.

The dolphin show itself was terrific. The dolphins just gave away such fun childish energy, and my kids enjoyed watching them as much as the seals and sea lions interact with their trainers, but the issue is the drinks and food were very expensive in Egyptian pounds. Moreover, the sound system wasn’t excellent as excepted. I couldn’t hear half of what the speaker was saying, mainly since they spoke so many languages subsequently. Furthermore, I suggest they care more about the organization when taking photos. Poor dolphins were tired from all the people touching them to take pictures😂. Dommage qu’il ne soit pas possible de mettre 0, car c’est ce que mérite cette compagnie qui nous à emmenés « voir des dauphins » ce jour. Le « commandant du bateau », si nous pouvons l’appeler comme cela, à tout bonnement été exécrable du début à la fin de la traversée. Lorsque nous avons embarqués, il nous a été réclamé 5 euros par personne de « taxe de protection des fonds marin ». Ayant trouvé cela bizarre , j’ai immédiatement contacté l’agence avec laquelle nous avions réservés et il s’agissait effectivement d’une belle arnaque! Lorsque nous avons demandés au « commandant du bateau » de nous rembourser ce montant, il s’est tenu devant moi d’un air menaçant en m’indiquant qu’il ne me les rendrait pas. J’ai alors attendu la fin de la traversée et l’ai laissé échanger directement avec l’agence. Suite à la conversation avec l’agence, il a finalement restituer les fonds. Passons le fait que la seule boisson à notre disposition était de l’eau (du robinet), donc imbuvable et que le repas était sans goût… Pour couronner le tout, nous n’avons pas vu un seul dauphin…(ce sont des choses qui peuvent arriver). Nous avons, heureusement pu faire du snorkeling sur 2 spots. L’un était plutôt pas mal, avec de jolis poissons et coraux. Quand à l’autre, je ne préfère ne pas laisser de commentaires… En ayant pris connaissance de tout ces avis positifs, j’étais optimiste à l’idée de partir avec cette compagnie, il s’avère que ce fût au final un fiasco total.
