We stayed at the Hilton Plaza Hurghada for our honeymoon, and it was by far the best hotel we have ever been to! From the moment we arrived, everything felt special and thoughtful. Our room was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking sea views that we woke up to every single morning. The housekeeping team went above and beyond — not only keeping our room spotless but decorating it beautifully every day, adding those little personal touches that made our honeymoon feel truly magical. A special mention to Mohammed Abdel Hady, the security guard, who greeted us with the warmest welcome and helped us with everything from booking taxis to personally escorting us to our cars. This level of hospitality made us feel safe, cared for, and completely at home. We were also invited to the hotel’s welcome night, where we met the managers and other staff in a relaxed, cosy atmosphere. It was lovely to see how approachable and friendly everyone was. The General Manager, Magdy, personally went out of his way to ensure our stay was perfect — a rare and thoughtful gesture that we will never forget. The food was incredible. Every day, the buffet had a wide variety of delicious options with different themed nights, so we were excited to eat here daily. The highlight was our complimentary 3-course dinner at the Wok Asian Restaurant, where we treated ourselves to extra sushi — honestly the best sushi we’ve ever tasted! As it was our honeymoon, we also booked the romantic dinner on the beach, organised by the amazing team at Turkuaz restaurant. The setting was absolutely beautiful with candles, flowers, and the sound of the waves in the background. The food was outstanding — especially the seafood bisque soup, which was hands-down the best we’ve ever had. The entertainment team deserves a huge shoutout! Every evening there were live performances, shows, and music, which made the atmosphere so lively and fun. The beach and pool areas were spotless, with plenty of sunbeds and shade. The beach bar staff were so friendly and attentive, always making sure we had cool drinks in the heat. There’s no shortage of activities at this hotel — from water sports to fitness classes and excursions — you’ll never get bored. But if you just want to relax, it’s equally perfect for that too. Overall, Hilton Plaza Hurghada gave us an unforgettable honeymoon experience. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make us feel special. We’re already planning to return — but next time, we’re staying even longer!

July 12, 2025 – Late night arrival: We appreciated being offered a late dinner upon arrival, which was a positive start. Room 119 – First and serious disappointment: The assigned room had visible mold in the bathroom and an unpleasant odor. The extent of mold was far beyond any acceptable hygienic standard. I was genuinely shocked that such a room could be released to paying guests at all. When we raised the issue, the night receptionist informed us that no room change was possible at that time. July 13, 2025 – Room change after strong complaint: The next morning, after a firm complaint in front of other guests, we were moved to room 224. While the new room was mold-free, we encountered other issues: the shower was not working, the door did not close properly. Moreover, the entire process of resolving the room issue consumed almost a full day of our vacation. Guest Relations – Poor timing and ineffective support: About an hour after moving, Ms. Sarah from Guest Relations called to ask how satisfied we were. Honestly, I found this poorly timed and frustrating. I repeated all the unresolved issues once again. Dinner – Disorganized service: At dinner, there were no glasses available for soft drinks. Staff assured us they would bring drinks to the table, but they never did. This again required us to file another complaint. Since July 16 – Air conditioning failure: The air conditioning in the corridors on the entire second floor (where our room is located) stopped working. Despite reporting it, no action was taken to fix the issue. In a hot climate like Hurghada, this is unacceptable. July 17 – Resignation and disappointment: On July 17, I gave up pointing out further deficiencies, as it became clear that management – particularly the Guest Services team – was not genuinely addressing any of them. Smiles and polite responses are appreciated, but they are not enough. This is exactly how loyal customers are lost. In conclusion, this was my second and certainly last stay at this hotel. The management appears unprofessional and unresponsive, and the overall experience has been extremely disappointing. I believe this property severely damages the Hilton reputation. For the price paid, the level of service delivered was unacceptable.

Lovely hotel, very clean and in a lovely place!

As an 5 star all inclusive, its just not there!

No drink service! Around the pool, at the lobby bar or in the restaurant! Thats the biggest joke! Go in, find yourself a table (and they turn them slowly), sit down, no offer of a drink! Go get your own from the bar, then get your food from the buffet! Joke!

Pool Bar! 1 person servi1ng, it gets busy! Very busy so expect to wait! Go to the lobby, theres 3 / 4 people stood around doing nothing.

Buffet! Restaurant is far too small and disorganised. Plates are hard to find as are spoons. Tables are often dirty so you have to sit and wait for it to be cleaned. Its just badly laid out! Constantly feel.like youre driving the wrong way down the motorway swerving out of thr way of people!

Food! Okay! It's okay! We ate out 9 times in 14 days in the evening. Breakfast, eggs are terrible in my opinion. Omelettes are like egg biscuits, fried eggs are mostly over done and they'll literally leave chunks of eggshell in there and serve them. Doesnt help when they're white eggs, so expect a lovely crunch. I had at least 4 big chips of shell and I didn't have fried eggs often. There's all the standard white rice, pasta, chips, chicken nuggets. Aside from theat, its anyone's guess. Sometimes its all fish, other times theres not a great deal that seems to go. It's the 1st All Inclusive that I've struggled with food, and as a good cook, I can make a good meal from things and I am adventurous so happy to try new things, but most of the food was just weird, like chickpea curry, fish curry, foul madame etc. Just odd food that I didn't understand. Really lacked in meat.

Drinks! Lager - okay Mixers - hardly ever got sugar free, all full sugar Spirits - vile! I love a g&t and rum & coke - i had 1 of each over 2 weeks they were that bad! Thankfully we took duty free so had an actual drink to enjoy, but literally they're vile! I've been to loads of All Ins and never had a problem with spirits, but genuinely these were bad! Tasted like chemicals! We were pre-warned, but these were much worse than we expected!

Departure! Checked out, we didn't tip the 2nd cleaner we had as he didn't do enough, constantly things were empty, he didn't leave enough towels or any coffee, so we were on the phone to reception a lot which was frustrating! We did tell him as every day, he'd ask if everything was okay, so we'd tell him we have none of this or that, he didn't speak great English, so that caused mayhem. One day, we'd ran out of 'Conditioner' we even tried to take a bottle from the trolly to help hime understand, but he stopped us. 5 mins later, the engineering team turn up to fix the air conditioning! You can't fault them when you ask, but its just those silly simple things that cause annoyance like going for a shower and not having a towel thats really annoying!

Anyway, on leaving 'The Management' hid our luggage because apparently we'd stolen a hair dryer. I asked where our luggage was and was told 'the hair dryer is missing, you cannot have your luggage' - we explained where we'd left it, which is where we found it, low and behold it was there.

We're confident the cleaner did it out of spite as it was obvious where it was! We didn't tip because he was lazy and didn't do enough!

You'll get what you ask for, but it'll be painful at times and it won't be what you expected.

When we got there, we had a room for 4 people, got there early hours. We had 1 bed in a 2 story maisonette / chalet! Had to ask for more beds at 2am.

The room we got wasn't the room we'd booked, i did establish this wasn't the fault of the hotel though, this was the agent we'd booked with. There is a discrepancy with room names across some website, so if you're booking a certain room, just check the hilton website to get the actual name and make sure thats what you book.

The other thing they do which is really annoying is they move staff around constantly, I've never known this anywhere.

I...

All in all a very good all-inclusive hotel. I would consider coming back here but only if they fix some of the cons I've listed.

Pro's: The hotel, the gardens, and the beach is very clean and you can clearly see they take very much care of it Plenty of food to choose from Nice relaxing vibe at the main terrace Friendly staff

Con's: The first issue we experienced was before we even arrived. As we booked through an agency they told us to contact Hilton if we would be arriving late, so we dont risk losing our reservation. However after emailing and calling them with no success I got in touch with Hilton on Facebook, but not even them were able to get their calls answered. It got solved with them being able to leave a note on my reservation. But it should really be possible to talk to the hotel you're staying at prior to your arrival. Please fix this We didnt encounter any begging for tips as other reviewers have said. However, its clear that the staff pays a lot of attention to those that do tip and ignore those that dont. I would prefer that this was not a thing but I guess its difficult to avoid When the hotel is near full capacity the restaurant gets very packed. They should probably extend the hours so breakfast, lunch, and dinner is available for a longer time to help spread out the people going there There were a surprisingly big number of people who were not dressed at all for the restaurant, often with no shirt on at all. Didnt think I would see this at a 5-star hotel Unfortunately they seem to allow smoking on the beach At times they were playing very loud music on the beach. Which was surprising since their own information clearly states that the one of the sides of the beach is "the quiet side", however the music can be heard annoyingly loud from wherever you are Note that not the whole beach is open. You're not allowed to be in the water at certain parts, and they also dont have beach beds along the whole strip of the beach. So while it does look big on pictures that's not what you get unfortunately Furthermore about the beach, you're not allowed to even step in the water before 9am. This is something I really hope they can change. Breakfast opens at 7am, so there were many people wanting to cool down in the water shortly after Perhaps this is not the case in all of their bathrooms, but the door opened in to the bathroom, and even though it had two sinks it was impossible for two people to use it as the door blocked us I wasnt impressed at all with the evening show. The focus seemed to be at humiliating their guests as much as possible. In one specific show they asked for women to come on stage for a competition, but not saying what that competition would be. So once they got them up on stage it turned out they should compete by first doing a sexy dance and poses, and the last thing was to walk from one side to the other like a chicken and make chicken noises. It was clear that many of the participants didnt enjoy it the slightest. Even though my overall rating is 4 out of 5 I wouldn't go back here unless they fix this show. Make it fun and inclusive, dont humiliate the people that makes this...
