If you're ever in Tartu, the Science Centre AHHAA is a must-visit! This place is not just for science lovers but for everyone, whether you're an adult or visiting with family, it offers something for everyone.

The museum features interactive exhibits that make learning fun. From physics to nature, the hands-on displays are perfect for curious minds of all ages. The children will love the engaging activities, while adults will appreciate the depth of information and unique experiences on offer.

A highlight for many is the planetarium, which offers breathtaking shows about the universe, giving visitors an unforgettable cosmic experience. But that's not all; there are live science shows that bring experiments to life, making them both entertaining and educational.

The museum’s family-friendly atmosphere ensures that it's a perfect place for a day out. You’ll find cafes and comfortable seating, so you can relax and enjoy the exhibits without a rush. Highly recommend this place to anyone in Tartu,...

Ahhaa Science Center is fun for all ages. You can try out simpler or more adrenaline activities, do water-air etc experiments, ride a bike in the air, do experiments with electric circuits, walk in the mirror maze, see the planetarium movies, train to be an astronaut, and so on. There are little baby chicken and ant farm.

There is a quiet building corner for kids.

There is a cafe on-site. But with your wristband you can go in and out all day long, so you can visit any of the many restaurants or Tartu farmer's market nearby. Or go for a swim or a nap, and then come back in the evening.

You can buy tickets online to avoid any queues and do a self-check-in for the wristband. Parking is free behind the building, just enter your car plate number in the self-service kiosk.

The videos in this post are from the temporary exhibition "Adrenaline" opened on May 18, 2024, so make sure to check the current temporary exhibition later on.

Enjoy...

AHHAA Science Centre is an absolute must-visit for anyone in Tartu! It’s fun, educational, and full of hands-on experiences for all ages. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with interactive exhibits that make science come alive in the most exciting ways. The planetarium show was a highlight, beautifully immersive and informative.

The centre is well-organized and easy to navigate, with staff who are friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about science. Whether you're experimenting with physics, exploring biology, or watching live science shows, there's something new around every corner. Kids (and adults!) will especially love the water and mirror exhibits, and the rotating tunnel was a blast.

Great value for money, and you can easily spend 3–4 hours exploring everything. There’s even a café inside if you need a break.

Highly recommended for families, students, or anyone curious about how the...

We visited with our family and were absolutely impressed. We’ve been to several museums of this type, but this one deserves a full 5 out of 5. The exhibits engaged everyone – both adults and teenagers. There’s a lot to see and do, so we never got bored. We spent 3.5 hours here, and the time flew by. We could have stayed even longer, but unfortunately had to leave. The museum is enjoyable for children of all ages – even the little ones will find plenty to do. Everything is very interesting and well thought out. The only area for improvement would be providing more visual instructions, such as icons or pictures showing what to do or where to press. There’s also a café on site – we didn’t try it, but it’s great to have the option for a break. I would happily visit again.
