Atlas International Hotel — Attraction in Addis Ababa

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. I don’t even know where to start. I’ll just point three big issues I had even though I could right about 20. First I booked through my bank and had the reservation. When I came to confirm they gave me this other women’s number. I call that woman and she says she has no idea and she gives me another number. The next number doesn’t know anything either. So after having dinner elsewhere I go back to show them my reservation through my bank. After some back and forth they give us a room. We were supposed to get doubles but I was okay with a single room because it was late and cold and I was tired. But then they took my drivers license because they still could not confirm the reservation even though I showed them the receipts. Anyway we get to the room and it’s the dirsties looking room you will see. The beds were stained and disgusting looking. But they smelled okay I guess. I was going to just chalk it up as a loss and book somewhere else but my girlfriend said it’s only one night and we should stay. We slept with our clothes on. That’s how nasty the apartment looked felt and everything. The bed was also uncomfortable. We get up in the morning, although I didn’t really sleep due to scary sounds from our neighbors. Lord knows what goes on these types of restaurants. The bathroom was also bad. We come down around 8 am ready to leave. But they won’t give me back my drivers license because they still can’t confirm the booking. So my girlfriend and I are still waiting while this gets resolved. It’s been half an hour so far and we want to get as far from this place as possible. Please good people stay away from this “hotel.” The breakfast looked terrible as well. It’s just a regular place you can lodge, if you’re out of options. The place is a bit shabby, as they could be room for more improvement.

They’re just by the road side and very easy to miss, if you’re not accustomed to the roads there. The hotel complex is situated just by the traffic light and gets really noisy mostly in the day time and evenings.

The waiters act as though they’re doing you a favor. And it takes them forever to bring in your order. Their food is not really bad, but a bit pricey though. The avocado juice was eeh 🥴

A small parking space for few cars. To be on a safe side, get there with a cab and drop off by the traffic light and walk in.

The location is good and the price is fair, but the service is very poor, and the workers are rude. The chairs and tables were covered in dust. When we informed the workers, they told us to clean it ourselves using a small towel from the washroom. We spoke to the manager, Belay Belina, but received no help. We ended up cleaning the tables and chairs ourselves. Dirty bed sheet, dusty floor. No slippers, no WiFi. Additionally, the phone in the room was not working, and there is very limited parking space. It seems there is no active owner, who cares for the hotel. Overall, this is not a good place, and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Go...
