The hotel is in a very convenient location, that's easily accessible from the train station and pretty much everywhere else in Helsinki. Just in a few minutes we could walk into the city center or reach public transport to get everywhere. At the same time, the location on the west harbour is rather quite, so that we could easily keep the door to the small balcony open, without too much noise from traffic or people. The room was absolutely clean, the beds were very comfy and it was an added bonus that I could connect to Netflix or play YouTube on the huge TV in the room. The side view (from room 501) onto the harbour was great too. The hotel staff was very kind and did their best to give us tips, performed the check-in fast and to keep the table clean during the breakfast buffet. The buffet was incredible. So much choice of bread, fruit, spreads, cheese and even delicious little pancakes. We literally had so much food in the morning that it lasted until dinner. The coffee, juices and natural flavored was great too. The breakfast times are also very convenient and extended on the weekend. All in all I was absolutely happy with my stay and can recommend it to everyone who's looking for a great hotel and is not expecting a big spa.

We stayed here for 4 nights during the first week of March. Camilla, the front desk staff, was extremely helpful and she really made us feel at home. The hospitality is beyond compared. If my children decide to continue their study in Finland, Camilla will be one of the reasons why we love the country so much. Our family room was nice and the beds were huge. The view of the sea from our window is very nice. If you are planning to make a reservation here, definitely get the breakfast. It is amazing! The staff in the restaurant was also very kind and attentive. On the second morning of our stay, she already remembered that we drank black coffee and vanilla tea and helped brought them to our table. The hotel is also very close to the port where you can catch a ferry to Tallinn. If you plan to visit Tallinn, this hotel is a nice location for you to stay because after a full day away, you just want to be back at the hotel as soon as you can to rest. It is also very easy to get to the city center area from the hotel with a short tram ride. The trams came frequently and there were a few tram lines close to the hotel. I really wonder which coffee they brewed at breakfast. It was soooooo good.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu Seaside from June 23-26 and chose the city side view room because that room has a bathtub. The first day the bathtub stopper was malfunctioning a bit but we managed to give my toddler a bubble bath. But the last day the plug was not working at all, the water was running out so we tried to move it a bit to see what was the problem and we found a lot of hair inside the lid (photo). Also the breakfast is average, the rooms are ok and I really appreciate the policy of not cleaning the rooms every day to maintain the environment but sometimes there should be some arrangements for longer stays like for example extra toilet paper, towels or shampoo in the bathroom because you run the risk of running out of items at any time and it is critical to have to wait for the supplements to come up especially if you are with small children, that was also really annoying. The only good thing is the service with the sweet Spanish gentleman in the dining room and the very kind lady on the front desk. Just for that I leave the two stars but we won't stay there again and won't recommend it.

Very easy access with public transportation and cruises. Our room was very clean and modern. We loved the facilities and stylish interior throughout, especially in the restaurant and the room. There was Finnish touch in the room deco which was really nice. Bathroom floor was heated. The menu in their restaurant provided a great selection of food and drink. The service was excellent in both the hotel and the restaurant. Easy check in and helpful staff. Overall, it was a really nice stay. We had only two issues during our stay. The toilets in the reception area were small and not very clean. Unfortunately, the fitness area was closed for renovation. Although it was mentioned here that there is a sauna, we struggled finding its location or schedule. As the reception was crowded with guest checkin, after trying to search it by ourselves for a while we eventually learned from the fitness area renovation staff that the sauna is also closed. A simple notice in the reception area could have saved us from wasting our time.

We booked this hotel last minute and were disappointed. We requested a tub and didn't think that would be much to ask for as the room we booked said "shower or tub" for the standard room. The first two rooms they gave us were unacceptable. They were very very small closet size rooms with no windows and an entertainment center that did not work as all the plugs had been pulled out of the wall. There was gum or something stuck on floor and someone's sock stuck on the ceiling (see pictures). Not to mention there were giant concrete polls in the middle of the room making a small room even smaller. To give you an idea of how small they were, you couldn't open the bathroom door without hitting the bed frame. After complaining twice to the front desk, they finally got us a good size room. This hotel really needs to work on its quality control as the first two rooms they tried to "dump" on us were really terrible. Would not stay again, the Clarion near by looks much nicer.

NOT BEST CHOICE FOR TOURIST VISITING HELSINKI This is a beautiful hotel. The issue is the location. We arrived to Helsinki on the ferry Victoria. The hotel was 0.8 miles and cabs wanted 20 Euros. Luckily there is a light rail, and we took that for about 5 Euros! The hotel isn't really 'seaside'. It IS close to the water, but you can't see the water from the hotel. Clarion was the only hotel we saw that has views of the sea. There really isn't a lot to see around the hotel. Luckily, we could also easily take light rail into the city. We are leaving now for airport and the Reception said THAT trip would be 50 Euros. So... to save a little money, we are taking light rail to Train Station and then to airport- about 10 Euros total. The staff are lovely, and breakfast delicious. Rooms are modern with comfortable beds. One note for Americans- this Radisson doesn't have the feature 'Watch your own' to let you stream off your phone that many other Radissons have.
