Belle Dune Golf — Attraction in Abbeville

Beautiful golf course. Best in the area. A year on, it is still a great course. However we had the Thai evening which I had low expectations of and sadly I am as still disappointed. Mercifully small amount of food Had lumps of over cooked pork on noodles which tasted a little bit Thai followed by a chocolate mousse thing which was ok but not at all Thai. Did not remotely match the picture on the as. For this they had the cheek to charge 25 euros making it the worst value meal I have ever had.

My advice: play the course but go...

I remember being stunned by how good this golf course is. Starts off with some really tight and challenging holes in the forest with plenty of elevation change. Then out of nowhere you play about half a dozen world-class links holes, including two of the best par 5s I have ever played, before finishing with a couple more holes in the trees. I also remember that the greens were like lightning whereas Hardelot had just been overseeded and was slow (we went in May).

For my money a better and more memorable course...

We were thoroughly looking forward to our round here in September but sadly the weather was not on our side. The claxon was sounded and we were called in. Upon enquiring we were told (somewhat reluctantly) that we could have a refund. We paid by credit card but be warned, they will not refund you this way. After many email exchanges I provided all my bank details as requested but no refund came. I am now told "the refund can take several months because we are managed by the public treasury"!! So we...
