A lovely place for a swim in the clearest lake in all of Europe. The water is an amazing blue. This beach (plage) is about a 10 min walk from the edge of the old town. Take the scenic route along the foreshore and past the marina. It was a busy place when we went which was just after lunch on a Friday. It has been hot so that isn't a surprise. While it was busy there were still plenty of places to sit and relax. The beach itself is mostly grass. There are lots of pebbles on the walk into the water. Everyone is doing a funny little dance as they try to navigate getting into the water đ. It's well worth getting into the water though.    Read moreI absolutely loved visiting this lakeside beach. Good for families and there is a dedicated swimming area. It is very close to the town centre so lots of shopping available. A good choice if bars (pub like) where one can have a pint on the go. The lake is surrounded by mountains on one side and good for pictures with nice views.
