Plage Municipale de Talloires — Attraction in Annecy

A great find on the edge of lake Annecy. Some free parking onsite, more nearby but both do get full. Entrance to the beach area is €2.50 for adults, €1.30 for kids, for the full day which represents great value. Large grassy area to sunbathe, with some shade, leading to the walled jetty. Several sets of steps lead down into the water, alternatively you can jump in from the diving board (about 2m drop). There are 2 floating bathing areas about 15m from the shore and a small water slide for children. An area marked with buoys shows the area watched by life guards. Onsite snack bar, we only used for ice cream (€2 per scoop and very good). Toilets located under the bar area, fairly grim but useable. Canoe hire, €10 for a double canoe for 30 minutes, life jackets provided. Free use of table tennis tables and beach volleyball area. Kids paddling pool, 40cm deep. Perfect place to hang out and swim a bit. Grassy 'beach' with a wooden and concrete quay, and with deep water right off the quay, which keeps the water clear and fresh and allows you to make full use of the diving plank.

Grass has a good mix of sunny and shaded areas, some food and snack options at the back (sorbet was better than I expected), and you can rent foam platforms and tubes for 2 and 0.5 euros.

Good bus connection to annecy too, line 61 from the station.

Our favourite spot around the lake so far!! We spent all day here. Even though it was a Saturday we easily found a space for all 10 of us. There are quite a few trees offering shade if needed. The kids never stopped…. Diving boards, water slide, volleyball court, paddling pool, table tennis. We were able to hire life vests for our non confident swimmers from the kayak place and there were also several life guards on duty.
