Disappointing and Unhelpful Experience – Avoid Relying on This Office We had a very frustrating experience with the Arles tourist office. Our car was towed after we parked legally in an official spot, not realizing that a fair would take place on that street the following morning. There were no clear signs or warnings about temporary restrictions. Seeking help, we went to the tourist office expecting reliable advice. Instead, they sent us by taxi to a location outside the city to retrieve our car—without informing us that the facility is closed on Sundays. The taxi dropped us there and left, and we found ourselves stranded at a closed office, having wasted two hours and 60 euros for nothing. It's incredibly disappointing that a tourist office could not provide such basic and essential information—like the operating hours of public services. Their lack of knowledge and guidance only made our situation worse. If you're visiting Arles, I recommend double-checking everything they tell you and not relying on them for important or time-sensitive matters. Attached is the picture of the working hours so hopefully staff in the tourist office will see it and really help someone else in a similar situation. Also instructions from the police station 30m away from the tourism office. And now, when we again arrive to pick up the car outside the city on Monday morning, we found out that we had to go to the police to stamp the paper confirmation so we are allowed to pick up the car. Of course they didn't know this in the tourist office and didn't let us know....now again we have to pay another 60 eur for return taxi ride and lost another 2 hours. Thanks a lot

We visited Arles for one night and only knew about a few sites. We went to the tourist office simply to buy a ticket pass for the monuments and museums, but Caroline shared so much more. She took the time to actually talk with us and show where things were in the map. She even recommended trying to see the LUMA tower, which we had never heard of - it was a great visit. Caroline even gave us some tour books for other places we were planning on visiting in the area. I was very impressed and grateful for the great help from Caroline - she really knows her stuff.

Everybody too busy to pay attention, tourists by the bus load roaming aimlessly, no control, nonsense, clueless. Waste of time and money He and his buddies sang really bad off key Mexican lyrics acting like they were professional street players. Then insisted everyone sitting enjoying their meal pay up for the entertainment. I promised to make him famous, so, pass along his picture. I refuse to pay his ransom and simply spat, aovoise.

Prepaid a tour of the historical sights of Arles, I arrived 15 minutes early and was told to wait, 15 mins later she came over to me to say the guide was not available with a huge grin on her face and was asked to book for another day! I couldn’t believe it, she stood and practically giggled with her colleagues as she turned me away. Absolutely shocked at how rude the service is here, really disappointed as I was having a great holiday until this happened. The worst thing is, they all stood in the office (clearly they just wanted to go home since it was a Sunday afternoon and couldn’t be bothered to carry out the tour). A word of advice to the tourism office: don’t laugh at people who are paying your wage and have the decency to tell the truth. Really...
