We came to Pontorson for a short trip, with day 1 to Mont St Michel and day 2 leaving for Caen. We walked from Gare de Pontorson, and it was about 15mins walk to the Eglise Notre-Dame de Pontorson. The surrounding was quite quiet, so we entered the church without any queuing or waiting.

Monocromatica ma sontuosa. Grazie all'illuminazione affascina e non incute timore. Tutto intorno è monocromatico. Il paese è un po' spento. Poca gente in giro e pochi negozi. Già il tempo non è dei migliori da queste parti, spesso grigio... potrebbero anche colorarle un po' 'ste case... qualche albero e molti fiori... meno male almeno quelli! Ma i bimbi hanno bisogno di colore!!! Allora... mettete più fiori, almeno! Comunque fa riflettere la sontuosità della Chiesa ... da vedere.

Construite au XIème siècle à l'initiative de Guillaume le Conquérant par les mêmes bâtisseurs que l'abbaye du Mont Saint-Michel, l'église Notre-Dame est de style roman et de transition gothique. Un vitrail du chœur indique sa raison d'être : l'heureux passage du Couesnon par les hommes de Guillaume le Conquérant, en danger de s'enliser.

Little church the floor is made with tombstones which is really special. The tour of the city was disappointing. The booklet you get from the tourist office is very badly made and made it difficult the find...
