Crêperie du Couesnon — Restaurant in Avranches

We discovered this wonderful crêperie on our travels seeing that it was highly recommended on Google and it did not disappoint! The owner was very welcoming, and he cooked the best galettes and crêpes we’ve ever had (and between us we’ve spent a lot of time in France!). The restaurant is cosy, with a lovely ambience, family friendly, tasteful decor and it is popular with locals which we always find a good sign. We went early for lunch without having to book, but during our time there we heard many a phone call to book for dinner and by the time we left it was fully booked that evening. The manager is playing diner dash on extreme mode! He mans the counters, the kitchen, FOH etc. basically everything, so you have to go there early or make a reservation to guarantee a seat.

Lovely little spot for a galette or crepe. When we visited on a Monday lunchtime it was very busy and we had the last table. Just one man was managing and doing all of the cooking but it was excellent. The lunchtime menu was a snip at 9 euros 90 and consisted of a savoury galette, a sweet crepe and a cup of cider or a soft drink. Well worth a visit. Really nice...
