Just like many reviews I read on the internet, the ride called the "black hole" has to be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS.
The place itself is just terrible.
First, The rules are not enforced at all you can't bring food in, yet everyone has food and mini fridges, you can't wear normal swimming shorts, swimming trunks are mandatory yet nobody follows this rule (Good, I went to buy swimming trunks just for this, thanks for the waste of money), oh and do not worry about the height limits, they are barely even enforced. I had a 5 year old child do a ride that required to be 120cm, he clearly didn't pass the heigh requirement at the entrance but hey they let him through. The staff are just rude towards english speakers and do not speak english at all (what a surprise in France). I speak french so it was kind of okay to them. The translations are awful by the way. Good luck understanding. They're so bad they even invented words to put on there.
Second, security doesn't exist there. At the end of the day, we decided to ride the black hole with my fiancee. Needless to say it put an end to the day really quick. We were thrown off the float in the middle of the ride, the both of us ended up having our head smash really hard against the side of the tube. I came out first and dislocated my shoulder, my fiancee came out groggy and with a really bad concussion. The lifeguard took ages to respond, he did not even realize we fell from the ride and my fiancee was DROWNING IN FRONT OF HIS EYES. I was the first one and ONLY ONE to realize she was not okay and was helping her as much as I could, some civilians even helped before that lifeguard responded. After that he struggled so hard to make a decision he just asked me if I wanted a medic or not, which in a situation like this, I think someone with medical training should KNOW WHAT TO DO. Thank god the medic came and he was very nice and helpful, he even spoke a bit of english. I'm not easily scared but this ride is definitely not okay and it did scare me to death, especially for my fiancee which I thought something really bad had happened. The EMS was not even called, even for a checkup. No lifeguard escorted us to the exit, little to no attention was paid to us. Absolutely disgraceful.
This was just a terrible day and I do not recommend this place, at least if you value your life.
Save your money because the food is very expensive and awful, especially when you see the entrance price is 23 euros, which is way too much for spending the day in lines. (they should rename the park DryLand instead...
Read moreQueues! OMG the queues. Queues queues queues. If you want to pay to queue you're in the right place. Not enough rides for so many people, 45 minute queue for a 10 second ride. Too many people and not enough slides. Then they have the nerve to charge you more to jump the queues, charge you to park, charge you for lockers, as if it wasn't expensive enough as it is.
And then there's the smoking. This is a family attraction, full of kids and there's people smoking everywhere. In the queue for food for heaven's sake, and while you're eating. There's kids walking around barefoot and smokers dropping unextinguished butts on the floor. I know the park isn't breaking any laws here but I for one don't want my kids breathing in other people's rancid second hand carcinogenic cigarette smoke while they're eating a burger.
Speaking of burger, ordering food in advance was a mistake. None of the staff knew where to redeem the barcode for the food. I wasted more time in queues waiting to ask only to find no-one knew. We got food eventually but wish I hadn't bothered. Soggy burger, warm coke and mank chips.
Rude people and lots of pushing in. Burning hot, slippery surfaces. Uneven paths and loose bricks. I saw three or four people slip and fall. No control over the rings used by people - for rides that were marked as a 3-person rides there were few 3-person rings. Groups of 2 would take a 3-person ring when there was a group of three behind them.
Siam Park this isn't. At least they had the decency to hand out free bottles of icy cold water to people queueing on the hottest day of the year. Aqualand are just looking to make money from whatever they can. I wouldn't go back here if...
Read moreWe had fun here. Family of five. Three boys aged 11, 10 & 8
Pros: Great rides, good and relatively inexpensive food, lifeguards proactive
Cons: VERY slippery surface in places whilst walking between rides - beware. Long queues (see below). Pricey Park entry if buying FastPass (see below)
Do not come here in high season unless you are prepared to pay extra for FastPass (€20 per person regardless of age). For us that was an extra €100 so almost €240 in total including park entry. But in context a meal out for us these days costs in excess of £100 so perhaps this is reasonable for a full 9 hour day of fun and activity.
Without FastPass the queues are way too long in high summer. Do not come here in high season unless you are prepared to either buy FastPass or spend most of your day in queues. Also, do not pay extra for FastPass Unlimited - this is a waste of money as you barely get time to do more than two gos at the 'feature' rides regardless and the cheaper pass still gives you unlimited access to many of the really fun slides.
The rides themselves are brilliant. Some nice and fun/easy, and some utterly terrifying. So something for everyone. Park is not too big, so easy to find your way around, although the queues for the inflatables for each ride are not always intuitively next to the bottom of each ride (but you'll soon work out where to go).
You can bring in a picnic to save money, but the park food is good and not too pricey. The FastFood outlet is of a higher quality and much quicker than well known high street outlets.
In general, if you're in the area on holiday, this place is definitely worth a visit with the above...
