A calm place outside the main tourist areas of Juan-les-Pins. There is only a one entrance open - from the south side - look out for Chemin Gustave Raymond. There is no entrance fee as long you are individual and not in a large group. Leaflets and a map are available at the entrance gate. According to it, there are toilettes available on the premise, I haven't verified it.

The arboretum and its research work is focused on adaptation of foreign plants to Mediterranean climate and divided into thematic sections shown on the map. They are well described at the paths in French, English and Italian. Apart from that, most of individual trees are labeled with a Latin, French and English name.

After a 10-15 minutes walk downhill you can reach the seaside. No cafés or shops inside and nearby the...

This beautiful botanical garden is located in the territories of Villa Thuret and was created in 1857 by Gustav Thuret, who was a renowned botanist in the field of algae. Today, you will find close to 2,500 trees and shrubs in the Botanical Garden, including 1,600 exotic species from the Mediterranean region and hot-weather countries such as South Africa, California, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. You can end your third day here with a pleasant walk along the garden paths.

Admission is free.

Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 to 17:30.

The botanic garden at Villa Thuret displays a number of huge trees and palm trees, like huge Eucalyptus (called ghost tree due to the white bark), giant cypresses and som of the largest palm trees. The garden was created by the botanics Gustave Thuret who introduced the palm trees to Cotes D’Azure by climate adaptations starting in the 1850th. Now run by the university, and it is free to visit.

Although most of the plants may not look spectacular to neophytes (like me) this small botanical garden is like a diamond in the rough, hidden in the Cap d'Antibes. It's perfect for a 30 minute meditative stroll. Entrance is free - use access on the chemin Gustave Raymond, as the main gates are locked on the Boulevard du Cap (next to the bus stop).
