parc animalier — Attraction in La Rochelle

Beautiful park, but the conditions the animals were living in was horrible. The pastures and cages was tiny, cement-floor for many of the animals (especially the horses, donkeys, deers and goats), and many of them looked sick. There was a cage filled with budgies and one other bird that was not a budgie, all the budgies was bullying the other bird who was not able to fly or hide and it seemed very stressed. I would rate this park much higher if it wasn’t for the animals. I was sad and worried...

What an absolutely beautiful place to go! I'd planned to walk here on my trip to La Rochelle, but it wasn't a priority, lucky I walked through here in the way to the bus stop back to the airport and I'm so glad I did!

It's free to go in, which is crazy for the amount of money they've put in to make it so nice, clean, and to hold the wildlife that they do... horses, cows, goats, rabbits, peacocks, budgys, so many different birds!

I could not even imagine how beautiful this park can be. Today I decided to give this place a chance so I took a walk and could hardly leave home. Besides the fairytale landscape, the animals are very beautiful. It can be seen that they are very well cared for, they have enough space to have a good life and I think they have gotten used to the celebrity, they are not at all shy when it comes to pictures. An attraction both for children who have playgrounds, but...
