The Village Outlet — Attraction in La Tour-du-Pin

I think this Factory Outlet was very nice.

The Factory outlet was located between Grenoble and Lyon. We departed from Grenoble and it took around 1 hour from our hotel at Grenoble. It was easy to find the Factory Outlet as it was located near the exit of toll gate.

The car parks were plenty. I would like to advice to arrive to this place at the morning. Our experience when we arrived around 10AM, there still not so many people so it was convenient to walk around the place.

There were many brands available at this Factory Outlet. I think it will take 1 full day if you want to explore all shops. Most fashion brands were there such as Prada, Miumiu, Furla, Longchamp as well as sport brand such as Under Armour, Nike, Adidas, Puma and many more. I think this is good if you bring your family or friends to this place as they will have many choices to see and shop. We found the price of the goods were good. If you are foreigner then you can apply for tax refund. You just simply ask the shop office to help you arrange for the tax refund application.

If you are hungry, there were many food store available at the site. Be noticed that around lunch time, the food stores were crowded. We took pizza for our lunch and it was delicious.

There also small playground for your kids to play there. I also noticed the toilets were clean and plenty.

The woman receptionist (the oldest one) is very rude. She is supposed to represent the whole mall center but she doesn’t have any skills in communication and quality of service. Her way of speaking to customers is very direct, before even introducing your question, she does find problems and say things like «  ah non non non on ne fait pas ça ici » /«  no no no we don’t do that here ». She is not helpful nor nice to people. She really needs to be trained in serving customers or find another job that fits her. We come often to The Village but going through the detax service is a real pain… she is very hasty, I really can’t understand why she is at the...

We had a great day at the Village Outlet, easily 7-8 hours. There's a comprehensive variety of shops, with many of the key brands (both on the middle and higher end), so there's something for everyone. Outlet prices are rather compelling at most shops. A good tip would be to shortlist items first and make an entire round across all shops before making an informed purchase, to ensure you've gotten the best deal possible across all stores.

It's a short 1.4km walk to and from the train station, which is more predictable. Do note that the train towards Lyon city centre is hourly, so time your departure from the outlet...
