Stanislas Gate of Nancy — Attraction in Nancy

A historic city gate of Nancy built in the late 1700 and smack bang on Rue Stanislas and rue de Serre. It's one of the access routes towards Gare de Nancy. Built in masonry style with decorative pediments in classical style. It's also a classified French historic monument. Most notable is the use of Doric columns which is also a similar structure to the Saint Catherine Gate (Stanislas wife (Catherine Opalinska) and mother to the queen of France, Marie Leszczynska who married Louis XV) which is located closer to the Stanislas Square. Worth a look and knowing a bit of its history makes it more relevant I suppose. Bel édifice bien sculpté, propre et notamment bien mis en valeur grace à son éclairage la nuit. En revanche c'est uniquement à regarder 2 minutes quand on ne l'a jamais vue avant, en effet ça ne reste qu'une (belle) arche sous laquelle bus et voitures passent sans cesse, il y a donc plus agréable et mieux placé. Mais la prise de vue est sympathique et vaut le détour...
