The walk up to the top of the Colline du Chateau never disappoints. The view over Nice and the Mediterranean is quite simply breathtaking. Unfortunately, the disappointment is therefore all the greater when you need a refreshing drink or snack. The only place where it is possible is run by an unusually unpleasant, unfriendly and obnoxious person who scolds his customers and insists that everyone must stand in line at the till, buy something, and then thereafter be allowed to use the toilets . It is now the second time in a few months that I have had the same experience. last time was with my son, and at the time I thought the owner was probably just having a bad day. today it was with my wife and the experience was exactly the same. while I was standing in line waiting to be served, he startes shouting very rudely at my wife that she should wait in line with me and would only be allowed to use the toilets after we had bought something. This of course developed into a discussion between my wife and the owner as she obviously needed to use the toilet in the situation and not to stand in line any longer. Since it still didn't make any impression on him that I all-ready stood in the line to buy something in the store, it naturally, after a few minutes of arguing ended up with us leaving his establishment without having bought anything. Pretty odd business plan he's running I think. Obviously I will never come back, but rather spend my time and energy writing this review. When you meet such a person it is difficult to understand that the word "service" is actually French. Unfortunately, it is not possible to...

As everyone here said, the staff/owner is a horrible human being. A rain caught us when we were visiting the castle so we found a tree to wait under, close to the restaurant. Some people used the table umbrellas to take cover. The server came, shout at them, closed all the umbrellas except where there were clients. Of course, those people went there and it got even more crowded for the customers. After the customers left, while still raining, the server came, took all tables and closed all the umbrellas. As if the umbrellas would cost him anything to protect some people from the rain. Try to have some snacks when visiting the castle and avoid this place...

Such a beautiful spot to see in Nice!! My friend and I noticed the waterfall from the town and knew we had to check it out. There is an elevator that can take you up/down or you can walk up the stairs. I believe the elevator stops running around 7:45pm but it may be seasonal! We walked down the stairs back to the town (which I recommend if it’s possible for you) and it allowed us to see a few more view points that were stunning! There are two little snack spots and benches/tables to sit at up by the view points. It was such a great way to see Nice from above. I 10/10 recommend going here if...

The viewpoint of the Castéou is one of the highlights of the city for me. It holds a special place in my heart. In the summer months, the serene atmosphere created by the cool shadow cast by the umbrella pine is a welcome refuge from the heat, and the cicadas add a rhythmic soundtrack to the experience. While there is an elevator available to take you up to the Castéou, I highly recommend taking the stairs instead because you'll stumble upon other breathtaking viewpoints along the way. Visiting the Castéou is an experience that shouldn't be missed.

A fantastic spot to see Old Town from above! Located on the west side of Castle Hill Park, this offers panoramic views of the promenade, the sea, and most of Nice. Benches are available next to the viewpoint. There is a snack stand and toilets close by, as well as a large meadow and playground. You can take the elevator or the stairs from Old Town to the park. This was my favorite view in the entire city, and I highly recommend!
