We spent the day here because our flight was scheduled for midnight and our Moorea ferry dropped us off at 4pm…so we had a lot of time to kill.

After dropping our luggage off at Bora Bora Lounge (they can hold your bags via booking on Radical Storage) just a few doors down, we wandered over to Gobie and liked the vibe. We weren’t hungry but were thirsty, and ordered some drinks. We asked if it was okay for us to hang out until dinner and the owner allowed it! That was so kind. We sat under the fans and read/played games to pass time. They even allowed us to use their WiFi which was quite fast compared to other places we’ve been to around the island.

As 6:45pm rolled around we moved to have dinner. Parrotfish and desserts were excellent, probably one of the best meals we had. Owner and waiters were super kind and welcoming, we probably spent over 5 hours sitting at Gobie!

The owner called a taxi for us which arrived promptly. My regret is not having enough cash to tip with. I tried tipping on the English menu website but got a 500 Server Error…owner if you read this, please look into it so that I can send you a huge tip!!

Thanks again for your kind hospitality and...

I ate here twice but was privileged to taste 4 different specials and 4 different desserts. It was the best food I ate in all of French Polynesia. The owner most likely will be your waiter. He is professional and yet friendly. He remembered me for my second visit and also remembered it was my birthday. The chef creates flavors that take your breath away and the presentation is amazing. This is your French Street Restaurant with an over the top menu. Dining is outside and the specials will be presented on a chalk board. It's casual, friendly and local. I highly...

Stumbled upon this buzzy little place whilst exploring the town at night, we enjoyed all aspects. The ambience, there was a very talented pianist playing at the time also. Wine very good quality, dishes were thoughtful and interesting, we had the daily fish special, the lime lemon butter sauce was sublime. My partner thought it might have been the best meal of the trip and he doesn't usual like fish! Staff very welcoming and friendly working hard great team. Disagree with comment 'excessively expensive' cheers for a great time team,...

Unbelievable dinner - this is true culinary virtuosity. The “Gobiethon” is essentially local tuna prepared 6 unique ways - like something from a Michelin restaurant or Top Chef, but far more delicious and satisfying. The chocolate dessert also included multiple preparations, all of which complemented each other and were stunningly plated. We stopped here on the way to the airport from the ferry, and the staff called us a taxi and helped us into the car. It was the perfect end to our honeymoon in Tahiti. Thank you Gobie! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
