Gibert — Attraction in Paris

Must be one of the best book shops in all Paris, amongst few. Great variety of books and not to mention DVD's, music CD's and LP's! Both new such as elder releases.

Very close to Sacre Cœur which is a win win if you are coming as big family or touristing, maybe just having a walk through the City and want to have a look of the shops closer to the Coeur.

Today's spontaneous "haul" down Gibert Joseph was a classical Vinyl collection from the French composer and poet Serge Gainsbourg, a CD from the British-French sweetheart Jane Birki, some painting crayons, and journal books, ALL for a very good prize and worth the money.

The district close to Gibert is quiet messy, reminds you of a typical ghetto. It might be a great idea to be careful with things, watching out for pick pockers, cuz they are everywhere, sadly.

On another rainy Saturday afternoon you could find yourself here... Browsing in a small bookstore perhaps, only except that its a rather large bookstore, which has a good selection of material on offer. BDs, Comics, Books for Adults & Children, CDs, DVDs and stationary. Of course 95% of the literature is in the native language, but there is a small corner section for English books. The big attraction of Gibert Joseph however is that some of the products on offer may be cheaper than normal, mostly because they are used and then resold to the public....

Arnaque incroyable au service achat d'occasion. Il suffit de regarder sur trust.pilot pour comprendre. Honteux, pratiques lamentables. En résumé : l'appli accepte un maximum de produits (DVD, CD en parfait état en ce qui me concerne). Puis, une fois le colis expédié au "dépot", un "controleur" décide que la moitié au bas mot ne correspond pas à la "charte de qualité" (? des produits quasi neufs pas qualitatifs ?). Malin ! Cela justifie que Gibert ne les achète finalement plus, mais par contre se les garde !! En effet, il faut payer pour les récupérer ! Finalement tu pensais avoir vendu des DVD et tu te retrouves à payer tes propres produits? Comme la majorité des vendeurs préfère laisser tomber vu la faible valeur des produits à récuperer annoncée initialement par l'appli (Gibert demande bien plus cher pour les rendre qu'ils ne les auraient acheté !!). Gibert, après 20 jours s'en déclare propriétaire et peut revendre ce stock de produits d'occasion acquit gratuitement par la ruse ! En réalité le "controleur" fait son marché pour constituer et entretenir un stock gratuit. Système bien huillé et encadré par leurs Conditions Générales d'achat d'occasion ! La grande classe !
