I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service and experience I received during my visit to your restaurant.
The food was nice, but when we wanted to pay one server started to argue with us and got mad because we did not understand him that well, since french isnt our mother language. He got really loud and some of us got even scared of him. He told us that from our group some of us didnt order food, so he wanted us to pay extra. (We were a group of 20 Persons and 4-6 didnt order food) I can understand that it is not fair to sit into a restaurant with a group, when a few dont want to eat, but he could have spoken more professional. Also they could have told them to either order something or leave. But they didnt say anything till it came to the point to pay. They didnt allow us to leave and to pay.
I find it unacceptable that we were treated this way.
But this wasnt even all.. As you may be aware we ordered a specific amount of food and drinks, but upon receiving our bill, we realized that you had charged us for more than we had ordered. Despite our attempts to clarify this mistake, your staff refused to correct the bill, and instead, they became even more rude and unprofessional towards us. In the end they suddenly wanted even 4€ more, after we already payed. Because of the fact that we all were really tired of this stress, one of us gave him this money and we left. The last what we could hear from him was an insult in french.
It is sad since the whole atmosphere from this evening was destroyed by...

Main Course: Cuisses de Poulet (Braised Chicken Thigh served with grilled bananas), 15€ NETT. Drinks: Jus de Tamarin, 3€ NETT.
This is one of the best places in Paris if you’re craving authentic African food. This is a small restaurant, the vibe is chill and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a laid-back meal with friends or family. The place has a cozy feel with simple african-style decor. Owner is very friendly and helpful.
What really stands out here is their famous cuisses de poulet — the chicken thighs. They are cooked perfectly, made with fresh ingredients, juicy and packed with flavor, served with grilled bananas, with just the right amount of spices that make you want more. I also tried some of their other dishes, and everything was rich in taste. It’s clear the owner (solo, also the chef) putting efforts into every meal.
Owner have one staff helping him to take care of the restaurant, he was kinda cool too. The menu is simple and straight forward, starters, main courses (fish, chicken, lamb, beef), simple desserts, and popular African drinks are available too.
If you’re into great food and want to try something a bit different from the usual Parisian fare, this place is a must-visit. The prices are fair too, especially considering the quality and portion sizes.
Honestly, Le 15-17 Chez Khar nailed it, tasty food, good vibes, and welcoming service. I’ll definitely be coming back for more of that amazing cuisines and other African...
