The google directed entrance was blocked by an event and it will be closed until June 16. But the google directive should be fixed. According to the instructions, after exiting metro 10 at Porte d'Auteuil, you need to take the bus to go 2 more stops and then walk. But that is not necessary! (I followed directions and then I found out it was stupid). After exiting metro 10 (exit: Bd de Murat) and on the ground until, look to your right - cross the street and that's the other entrance to the park, very close and convenient.
I arrived after 5pm and the greenhouses were all closed (this doesn't update the system). You should arrive before 4pm to be able to visit the greenhouse (because it is obviously the special thing about this garden).
Other than that I found the park not very special compared to other parks in Paris. It is like a garden next to the house, not necessarily beautiful and special to the point of becoming a famous tourist destination. And it's on the edge of Paris, so it takes a while to get around. If you are nearby, you can stop by and go for a walk...
Read moreLoved it here. Not much people (at least during the time I visited) so you can easily take photos here. There were many different rooms with different kinds of plants. Signs were in French though so I didn't really know which room housed what kind of plants, haha. I visited during the French Open season so the nearer entrance suggested by Google Maps was closed and I had to pass the longer way to get to the garden. I kinda got lost but managed to make it nonetheless (just turn left at Carrefour and go straight until you see a gate opening to a garden on your left). I found it to be a very peaceful place so I think it's worth the visit! There are benches out front so you can relax and read a book...
Read moreThis used to be a wonderful garden, but sadly has declined tremendously. Parts of the garden are closed outright without explanation. Worse, the few greenhouses with interesting plants are also locked up. You can only view them through glass panes that haven't been cleaned in decades. Sign indicates that a gardener should he present to open the greenhouse, but sadly that's not the case. The only time we saw the gardener is when she brought in her friends and the promptly locked the door behind her again! Paris city government should look to replace the management and staff of this once amazing garden to bring it...
