The photos and the location pins are mixed up. There are 2 museums in Ushguli. One calls itself the ethnographic museum and collects in one room artifacts that show what life was like. The other has 2 levels. Both charge for entry. I entered only the ethnographic museum for 10 Gel for 2 persons. I thought it was interesting, but the price is a bit of a stretch.

The local ethnographic museum is located in a sturdy koshki on the edge of the Ushguli hamlet of Chazhashi. The museum has two floors where artefacts etc. are displayed. You climb via a ladder to the floor where most of the small but interesting collection can be viewed (and from where you have a nice view over the hamlet).

Tiny museum well worth a look. The living arrangements of Ushguli citizens of old are particularly intriguing. If you ever wanted to know how to arrange living quarters in winter, sharing with cows, pigs and sheep to keep out the bitter cold, take a tour around the museum.

It was so so, in my opinion. Sure, it was interesting to see the collections and how people lived back then, but I think it was a bit pricey to enter. Around 10 GEL or something. I can't remember, but it was shocking as we didn't know about the price when entering. We found out when we were about to get out, then the lady pointed out the notes...
