Cafe Svaneti — Restaurant in Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti

My wife and I came here for breakfast because they were open early (8am) and we had a delicious breakfast with a gorgeous view of the mountains. We had 2 omelettes, millet khachapuri, flower tea and Turkish coffee, all for a great price. The millet khachapuri was one of our favorites we have had in Georgia so far. This is a uniqe place for enjoying the local food and feeling the traditional vibes. Kubdari was definitely the best we've ever tried. We also tried chishvdari, cheese with mint, yogurt. All fresh, all amazing. Food is prepared in a traditional Svanetian oven. Host is super warm and friendly. And the building dates centuries.

We stayed in the guesthouse above the cafe (Guesthouse Ivas). Lucky us, we woke up with this outstanding view of Shkhara glacier.

My friends and I found this cozy cafe and decided to enter. It started to drizzle anyway, so we were trying to find a way to get warm. The owners were very welcoming, although they didn't speak English, and they started the fireplace when they saw us. We ordered Kubdari, which was delicious. I wish I had more! I also had coffee.
