XII Century — Hotel in Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti

Rooms are very clean, kind and lovely family with a daughter who speaks perfect English. They are always there to help for anything you need.

Tried lunch and dinner at various restaurants in the village but the hotel XII century offered the best quality of all. Their Svaneti salt is very tasty, I'm regretting for not getting some back with me. They also have a big and gentle Caucasian shepherd dog called Pingrou. It's located right below the tower and fortress within the old town of Ushguli, easy access to an amazing spot for both sunrise and sunset. I would definitely come back to stay...

Luxury in Ushguli. It was worth every penny staying here; the rooms were modern, cozy, very clean, and the beds are comfortable and warm… Swiss chalet style. The spacious garden area is nice to grab a their yummy cake and beer right after a trek! Their dinner is mouth watering - authentic and fresh quality Sventi food. There are two shared bathrooms that are kept very clean. Indoors area in the evening is a great spade to kick back when it’s cold and have dinner.

What a great place. The best we had in our 4 day hike in Svaneti. The host family is so sweet and forthcoming. The rooms in the ‘new’ section was clean, simple and really good. Clean bed sheets, electricity and neat. The family (Nanuka and husband and other family) cook really good food. Homemade, fresh and very tasty. We visited with our family of 5 and it was affordable and good value. Actually much better value than the other guest houses we stayed at during our hike trip.
